ooo, i got one.
i've been kind of in a doldrumy zone for a while because of what turns out to be a rotated pelvis/locked s.i. joint. probably threw it off around new years' by sneezing with all my weight on one leg
anyway, the point isn't that my s.i. is better yet [although maybe]. the point is i've been traipsing around to massage therapists and so forth with the issues it's caused. and i've been getting the finger-wagging preach every time about desk jobs and how 'your glute medius muscles are weak.' so do clamshells, etc.
well, i've already thrown all the usual due-diligence at this thing, so i was pretty sure they weren't weak, but it can be hard to argue that one when you're presenting with very obvious inability to keep your hips stabilized without ouch. until tonight when i saw this new, beefy student at the massage school, and he gave me an actual strength test specficially for them as part of his diagnostics.
verdict: 'well, we can definitely rule that one out'25 -

Good to know... I start to worry about regular posters when they "go missing"! Thanks for the updates, and congratulations on your continued determination! One day you'll probably overtake that runner...
Not up that hill, I won't. It's a killer! But I get such a perverse sense of pleasure each time I make it to the top as I start to breathe easy again and change up through the gears12 -

When I first went to the gym I wore this gym shirt and I felt so self conscious in it I had to wear spandex under it in order feel confident enough to go to the gym. Its was to tight and showed every fat roll I had. Today I just realized that the same gym shirt is starting to get to big for me.30

I upped weights on hamstring curl to 20kg for 2 of the 4 sets. Am really feeling the improvement, it lessens the lower back/IT band pain I get after squash with a stronger left hamstring
also upped leg press to 70kg for all sets and seated row to 40kg all sets.
Next challenge, shoulder press 15kg and pec dec 20kg. Roll on Friday
(have decided when I can shoulder press 20kg i am going to move into the free weights section - random, but tis a goal. My other lifts will probably increase more too on the machines in the time it takes to get to that with shoulders)9 -
Mines improved flexibility there were things that I had to really struggle to do due to loss of flexibility13

My husband and I went to the gym together (which was awesome all on its own since he's usually not interested). When we left we were talking about how welcoming this gym is to people of all sizes, ages, and fitness levels. I said something that grouped me in with the larger, less fit folks, and he said, "Uh, nope? Not anymore. You're a better match with those strong women over in the cross-fit section."29

1-year-anniversary today! And a 366 days login streak.
I signed up last year on March 8 for MFP and it's been going way better than I expected. If you told me one year ago that I would be able to stick with it this time I would not have believed you but here I am.45 -

Good job and good luck continuing15 -

@canadianlbs I went through that last autumn! It is horrid, but between the chiropractor and yoga it improved. Can't say enough good about the yoga part of it.
Glad your strength test was a positive result!
Continued recovery thoughts to you!3 -
I realized last night, I really like my forearms. Now if only I can get the rest of my arms, heck the rest of my body to look as good.14

I purchased my wedding dress at the end of November. Didn't actually start getting back on track for the weight loss thing until after the new year. Last weekend (3/4) they measured me (I work weekends at the bridal salon) and I am already down 2 sizes from the size of the dress I ordered. The goal is to have the seamstress take it in A LOT!27

According to the weather forecast, I didn't stand a chance of getting out on the bike today
Ha! They were wrong , wrong, WRONG.
Went outside, it was spitting a bit. Thought ah, well, get the bike out, check it over and then we'll see.
Still raining a bit but decided to go anyway. Just because.
Within half a mile it started raining. I kept going.
Then that horrible, fine, mist-like rain started. The type that really soaks to the skin. I got wet. Very wet. But I kept going. Even though I couldn't really see through my glasses as they were covered in tiny droplets of rain. My glasses need wipers on.
The rain eventually stopped - hurray! I kept going.
But then, I hit the wind. Or rather the wind hit me. At the bottom of the road on the hill section of my route. It did its best to stop me but I was too far from home not to continue (and I had to get home somehow). So I kept going.
Wet and cold. Not a great combination
Finally, the sun emerged and everything looked so much better. The cold eased a bit, the wetness dried a bit. I probably had a cloud of steam around me as I gently dried out I stopped being in such a hurry and slowed down a bit. I saw some lovely spring-like things - celandines, loads of daffodils, wild grape hyacinths, lots of birds, little things that brought me lots of pleasure. I did take photos but I think that my toddler has been playing with my phone and left sticky fingerprints on the camera lens Next time.
Finished my ride smiling (the motorists must have thought that I was mad, smiling to myself like that. Little do they know!). Got home to find that my darling husband had dinner ready. He really is a star, he never objects when I take myself off for a bike ride or to the gym (although he's usually asleep when I leave for the gym). If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be as fit as I am now.

Felt pretty rockin at the gym today--realized I didn't really have to wait for the bumper plates because I could do all my work sets with 45s.
And one of the super fit ladies came by and asked if all four kids I came in with were mine...and proceeded to fist bump me and tell me I looked awesome. I think it was my awesome lifting shoes (which I'm no longer embarrassed to wear...I used to think I wasn't a "real" enough lifter to wear them).23 -
I can now put my rings on without slathering my hands with lotion.
Now, my NEXT NSV is going to be, I'm fixing to walk to the office kitchen to wash my lunch dishes, and I am NOT going to eat a slice of that banana nut cake I saw down there earlier because I came back to my office and looked it up, and it's 140 calories. (figuring if I claim it beforehand, I'll stick to it )21 -
Today, I had my very first non-family member notice that I'm losing weight. I'm down 23 pounds, but I was beginning to wonder if I still look the same since no one's said anything. Feels great and makes me want to keep going so everyone will see!23

My company is updating our work uniform (thankfully) and I have had to send me new shirts back to get a smaller size.16

I said no to pizza twice yesterday...I know that doesn't sound like a big victory, but it is for me. I am finally beating my own "one more day won't hurt" attitude.41

This week, I've been able to increase the weight in all the exercises I do in my lifting routine.16

Looking through my logs. I havent went above calories in 6 weeks! And this comment from my brother today, who is the least observant of other people "you're losing weight. " not a question, a statement.26

My job got us a trainer at the beginning of November 2016, on the first day of the group class our trainer said he would work us up to being able to do 600 crunches... I could barely do 100 that day, but today I did the full 600 (200 regular, 200 bicycle, 200 legs in the air)! AND 30 regular pushups, and 3 reps of multiple exercises with 10 lb weights. So proud I stuck with it! Out of a starting group of 9 people or so I'm the only original still remaining36

My NSV is wearing this dress. Something I never would have picked out before and it's a size small.
