Can't post it here because I'm on mobile, but I can throw a couple up on Facebook.

I put on a few pounds in Mexico, back up to 214, I'm planning to cut back down to 210, then maintain for a month, then slowly start bulking.
-
Fair enough haha. I'm 210, cut about 10 pounds in the last month and a half, already feeling skinny in a shirt haha.
-
Awesome, I'll check it out tonight. In good news I just got put on a waiting list for an MRI, so hopefully the wait is as short as the doctor implied, hopefully less than 3 months.
-
You look great for a guy so small man.

I'll be honest, surgery is the farthest thing from my mind. I refuse to get it unless it's dire. I've heard mostly bad stories about it, and there's enough advancements right now in medical science to do with regenerating disk tissue for me to get surgery.

This is true, of you're 280 and have never worked out you're likely going to be below 200 pounds when you get the 15% to 20% bodyfat. For an example I have a friend who is 6'3" when he played football he was 310lbs, eventually he cut his weight back to about 205, and he was 17% bodyfat by then. And that a guy who has on…

240 at 15% bodyfat is years of work, that's huge dude...

That really doesn't make any sense. Genetics has nothing to do with asking for advice, and you have no idea what his diet or workout routine is, you're also claiming he's not lean or muscular, that's subjective. Also no need to passive aggressively put down someones physique bud.
-
While I sort of agree with this I think it's odd you'd speak about his genetics specifically seeing as you know nothing about him other than a single picture. Seems like a weird thing to add. One way or another though I agree you'll need to bulk to put on muscle and or cut to get lean.

I've been progressing day to day, doing a ton of core work, and overhead squats plus goblet squats. Day to day my back it pretty good, but the odd time I feel the pain from something my back doesn't like, usually at work as I do a lot of manual labour, but all in all its been good for the last while. Starting to do more…

You look less than 19% to me, but I guess it depends on where you wear your weight. I wouldn't worry too much about your weight man, you've got a good start of mass and are pretty short, you could be 155 and still look big. Personally I'm 6'3" and I can tell you from experience that mass goes a lot further on a shorter…

Kind of cool, weighed in at 211 this morning and I can see my upper absence, been a long time since I've been this lean.
-
Nope, not sucking it in that's my gut.
-
100 days is a solid chunk of time to be on a diet.
-
I'm getting a scan done in September, it'll measure bone density as well as my lean body mass. I've never been particularly lean, and was basically just looking for an estimate to see where I look like I am 10 pounds lighter.
-
Yeah, the plan is to get an MRI, only issue is where I live it's a year wait list to get one

6'3"

Chicken, cottage cheese, whey powder, beans, stuff like that.

Thanks, yeah I think it does sort of make it a hard guess, also I wear my weight in kind of a weird way which makes it even harder to guess for me.
-
Yes, but this is just water weight. Booze can indeed make you gain weight though, it has calories....
-
This is creepy.

Yeah I am going to start side planks this week too I think, I've been avoiding them too long. I've found downward dog pose to help a lot, back extensions and bridges, also oblique twists.
-
Yeah I mean I do feel that hamstring tightness and lack of ankle mobility have both may have been a factor in this injury, so I am setting aside more time to stretch. I should probably do more though still. I've also been hitting core twice a week at the gym along with my regular split, and doing planks a few times a week…
-
Yeah I got an xray a few months ago, nothing turned up
-
I'm cutting right now, I eat between 2700 and 3100 a day based on cardio.
-
Yeah, it kind of blows, I've been overhead squating a little more weight each week because back squats even with a tiny amount of weight could hurt my back. Last week I was doing 50 lbs total, it's a little bit odd seeing a 220lb guy who's been lifting for 7 years or so squatting such a tiny amount of weight. Especially…
-
Yeah, I've been building up the core strength again a number of times a week, I've also been working to improve form based on my phisiotherepists recommendations. I've found overhead squats to feel better and goblet squats as well. Been taking it slow, though it can be difficult sometimes because I work a very physical…

Dude don't quit working out, that's weak. Get a second opinion, doctors are not always the best for advice when it comes to exercise, they'll often say you shouldn't do specific things, but that's not necessarily thier expertise. My advice is to research a little and find a good phisiotherepist in your area, and see what…
