  • @luna3386 so glad to see you back!!! I hope you are doing great!!
  • Your doing great Faith!!! You can do this!!! I gained about 10 with my reset. Once I got up to 2300 a day, weight gain leveled off. I have been holding steady for awhile. I was also able to increase weights with my workout so some of that gain was muscle. I didnt notice any changes, then almost over night, holy cow I have…
  • I was thinking the same thing on the temp thing. Very interesting
  • @FaithStevo I'm so glad to hear of your progress with increasing calories. Yes there are some ups and downs with it. You are doing fabulous!!!
  • @faithsevio I thought you might enjoy this article that a friend posted as much as I did. Such great inspiration. http://womanista.com/2017/02/23/mom-shares-shocking-before-and-after-fitness-photos-that-prove-n/
  • @naturalnut I also started a thread. It helped getting me on track and a place to be accountable for what goals I have set for myself. This is a great a place to get great support.
  • Welcome back!! I missed you. Have a beautiful day
  • Today is official weigh/measure day. I am done with meso 1 and I'm on active recovery week. My weight is up, not concerned about that hubby and I had date night last night so I splurged. Body fat is the same, not worried about that either as it's trending down. Measurements are down 1 inch at waist, 3 inches at hips, 1.5…
  • Yes, it is just a number. My focus is on inches lost, body fat % changes, increase in weights on lifting and how my clothes fit. It takes a bit but the letting go of my obsession with the scale has greatly decreased. Now it's once a month that I take all the measurements to see how I'm doing to make any needed adjustments.
  • Scale going up with this last increase of 100 cal a day. I know it's just a number. I weight weekly to monitor how I'm doing with TDEE. I really needed a pick me up so took measurements. If numbers are correct, I lost 2.5 inches at my hips and 1 inch at my waist. So yes, scale is just a number. I'll be done with meso 1 on…
  • It lost half my post!!! Take 2: I am doing meso 1 over. I didn't think I put a full effort into it. Once I'm done with meso 3 I'll try adding a cardio workout to see if I'm ready for a cut. I enjoy the lifting and do it 3 days a week. I push hard I think during the workout. I lift heavy enough that it's a struggle to get…
  • I have my ups and downs. I trying to be consistent with 2300 cal a day. I know I get them in, just not in the right proportions. I could say I have been busy, but that's not compelty true. I'm very bored with eating and cooking. I eat to get food in, not much enjoyment with eating. I need to find some new things to…
  • @tj0861 so glad your hubby is working out with you!!!!! I started September 2016, I'm up to 2300 calories a day for about half the time. Trying to get consistent with intake. It's hard as I get full and don't want to force eat. Hang in there, small changes make a big compound effect. (By the way, that's also the title of a…
  • I went to the doctor this am for a minor issue. We talked about the EM2WL process and heavy lifting and yoga that I have been doing. We talked about my weight going up and no change in inches now that I have been eating more and at the same time I have lost about 10% body fat. I felt encouraged that she was happy with my…
  • If doing a specific workout over and over no longer is a workout for the body. And if massage is a workout for the therapist, does it become a non exercise for me? And not so much a calorie burn? And I don't count it as such? I just count it as standing/step numbers
  • @tj0861 thanks for asking your question. It didn't dawn on me about valid weigh days. Yet another point I didn't know and glad someone asked.
  • I was looking for something about that. When I clicked on the exercise tracking it gives a more detailed report. Also found a comment that you can adjust that by going under settings, then click on diary settings. Supposed to be able to click a 'enable negative calorie adjustment' but I couldn't find that button anywhere.…
  • I have seen this but I don't eat back the calories I burn. So I just count the calories that I originally set. Not sure if/how to change it.
  • @zanyzana thanks for the thoughts. I have looked into the ab muscle issue and I don't have that. I'm gluten sensitive so I try to limit that. I think that day I had too much wheat products compiled with trying to increase my calorie intake. And I ate later than usual. I think I just ate too much of the wrong things. Boy,…
  • Ok, it's at the end of my day and I feel and look like I'm 9 months pregnant. I know I could not have ate enough to gain 4 pounds today. But this "fat as a tick" feeling sucks.
  • When I start my workout I can choose what type of workout I do on my Apple Watch. I choose strength training with I lift weights. I choose yoga when I do yoga. Outside walk when I went for walks outside, etc. I am constantly moving with the yoga and the weight lifting. Both workouts last 45-60 minutes. I understand that…
  • I will keep watching my averages. I can set them for daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. My goal is to keep going with daily workouts. 3 days a week of weight lifting and 4 days a week of yoga. I don't want a gym membership and it's below freezing here. I refuse to be outside any longer than building to car. So no walks. I…
  • @amc191129 you will get great advice from everyone here. As well as support. I have been working my way towards finding my maintain weight level of eating for the last several months. I get great words of wisdom as well as gentle nudges away from some of my bad decisions. Hang in there
  • This is from yesterday. So if I am understanding correctly. If this burn number becomes the normal daily burn, I need to work my way up to eating this number of calories a day? 2,604 may or may not be my TDEE but I should be eating at least this average to maintain weight. (Keeping in mind my TDEE may be actually even…
  • Thanks Ichel. I love getting the information behind the recommendations. Helps to understand the process
  • @pennyo140 glad your back in the gym. That is a great accomplishment. Getting back to working out after an injury is not an easy thing to do.
  • I seem to have less sugar cravings, more energy and most grains give me such digestive trouble. When I had accidentally increased protein to more than carbs recently, I felt better and didn't crave sweets. Is there a specific reason for keeping it at 30%. I love to read and learn why the nutrition is the way it is. I have…
  • I have decided to start early on my 2017 goals. 1. Eat more alternative grains (I'm gluten sensitive) 2. Tighten macros to 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat 3. Learn to make 1 new healthy meal a week
  • I did take a pic a month ago. I'll try to take another. So hard to do that myself. I did look at my Apple Watch reading from May 2015. That was when I was eating around 1300-1500 calories a day and working out. My Apple Watch showed a daily calorie total burn of just under 3000 calories a day. So I must have been more…
  • Thanks for the help and advise. I can't look at a section of time for a calorie burn, or at least I don't know how to. I'll bump up the calorie intake and see what happens. I'll wait until after STS to do a cut. I don't see any change in body shape or muscle definition. I feel there is some changes at my hips and ribcage…
