Hi! I'm Jamie. I've been a part of MFP off and on since 2014. When I originally started MFP I was 140, wanting to get down to 130. Long story short, I hurt my ankle, started drinking a lot because I was depressed and ended up at my highest weight of 215 in January 2021. Since then, I gave up alcohol and have been tracking…

I eat what I want, I just keep it within my calorie goals or, at the very least, I make sure to not go above my maintenance calorie goals. As far as exercise goes, right now I just try to go for a few small walks a week. I've had quite a few life-changing events happen since July, so right now my focus is just on logging…

My 2 cents is to look at your diet. Alcohol can cause belly bloat even if you are below your calorie goal. Not sure if that could be a factor for you or not, but I thought I'd share. Good luck!

I broke my ankle exactly one year and one day ago (a really bad bimalleolar fracture). Here's my advice: focus on healing and resting!!! It's a very long, hard recovery and for me it was super emotional. I wasn't active on MFP during that time and while I wish I had been tracking my calories, I was constantly exhausted.…

I am only 6.6 pounds away from being the lowest weight I've been in almost 5 years! Once I hit that number, every lower number thereafter is in a way, uncharted water. I'm so excited! It's been such a long, hard journey but I'm finally back in a range that makes me feel hopeful about the future.

Shirts that were once too tight on me are now so baggy that I should probably stop wearing them.
-
I don't even remember! I've been using it off and on since 2014.

Here's what worked for me: If you are on Pinterest, you can create your own "fitness motivation" board. Fill it with motivational quotes, pics of the type of exercise that interests you, healthy eating ideas, and/or pics whatever inspires you to want to be healthier. Download an affirmations app. I use My Affirmations. I…

I count every day and every bite, but I also allow myself to occasionally go up to maintenance level.

Walks, riding a bike, hot baths, grounding exercises, sitting outside in the sun, and the occasional marijuana edible (which is legal in my state)

I'm starting to look really good in my leggings again!! 🎉

Riding my stationary bike to bank exercise calories before we go to the movies tonight. 🍿

Today is sunny and expected to be 102. Which is actually going to be to coolest day of the next 2. Sunday and Monday are forecasted to be 108 and 111 degrees respectively. Those temperatures would make sense if I were in Arizona, but I'm in the Pacific Northwest!!!

This is my favorite! Only 80 calories.

I'm also a busy, working mom & wife. When I don't make my health a priority, I suffer from horrible depression and anxiety. For me, it's a choice I make everyday to take care of myself by moving my body. I wake up early to make time for a walk or to be on my exercise bike before I have to get ready for work or have to be a…

As of this morning I am no longer in the obese BMI range, I am now just overweight!!! I never thought I'd be so excited to be called overweight! 😂

Alaska is stunning! Lol about the gum wall.

Hahahaha! Oh my, yes! Bremerton is like the armpit of Washington.

I've been blessed to have my early childhood in Alaska, my adolescent in Hawaii, and my adulthood in Washington state. All three places are so uniquely different and all absolutely beautiful.

That's ok. I don't like sharing or Doritos. <Bites into my own Ruffles that doesn't have sharp points or turn your fingers orange> You got anything better to barter for?

When I was out on my walk this afternoon and listening to music, Aenima by Tool came on and I totally thought of this thread. 😂

Hi!! When I (re)started in January, I was at 215 (my heaviest ever) and would like to lose 70-75 pounds to get back to 140-145. So far I've lost 31.6 pounds, but obviously have more to go. I set my MFP goal to lose 1 pound a week (1400 calories/day) because I was unsure I could do 1200 calories a day for the long haul.…

I broke my ankle last year and had to use a stationary bike initially until I had recovered enough to do my daily walks again. Be gentle with yourself!

It's my birthday eve! I turn 44 tomorrow. Yikes!

Oh my gosh!! The bread is usually loaded with butter on the outside before it is cooked, it is SO GOOD! You need to try one sometime. :)
