  • is this going to taper out? I'm not looking to become huge,or to be needing to replace my wardrobe.
  • The best advice I have been given on MFP is to step away from the scale. If you are weighing yourself daily you will get caught up in the fluctuations. Try weighing yourself every 3 days, first thing in the morning. Then you are getting a more accurate reading.
  • So we should be netting 1200 calories per day?
  • Thanks, perhaps I am just impatient. I started Barre in April at 138lbs because I wasn't thrilled with how I looked, I wanted to tone up and lose ~10 lbs. I didn't track what I was eating because I was working out 4-5 days per week and ate when I was hungry. I stepped on a scale 2 weeks ago and I had gained 10 pounds.…
  • I don't weigh everything, I use measuring cups for portion sizes. I also scan the barcode of ingredients I cook with to make sure I'm logging the right stuff. I guess I'm trying to understand the calorie equation in the app: For example: 1240 cal (goal) - 1618 (food) + 638 exercise = 260 remaining. Is that right? Do I have…

She has become comfortable and doesn't need to sniff/mark as much or at all. Also, positive reinforcement. Run/Walk with treats, reward every few steps he walks with with you. That way he…
  • I have the app on an iphone and it syncs to my iphone step tracker.
  • Have you ever tried a Barre class? It does wonders for your booty!
  • I understand how you feel..and can relate. I set a goal of losing 1-2 pounds per week. When I realized that exercise wasn't enough because I was eating whatever I wanted. I was shocked at how small my calorie intake is allowed to be and how much WORK it is to maintain it. I understand how frustrating it can be not being…
  • Hi ladies! I'm right there with you! I'm getting married in January and have to be DONE losing weight by my fitting in December. Help help!
  • Soda is so addicting!!! Its easy to fall into the habit of drinking soda regularly-- I'm so guilty. I think, the main thing here is to not punish yourself, but have will power. In my personal experience there are 3 things that drive the soda craving, (1) Fizzy bubbles (yes its true!) (2) Sugar, (3) caffeine. I'm almost…
  • I would highly recommend incorporating a barre class into your routine. It is a great, low impact, strength training class that uses resistance bands and micro movements to get deep into the muscles. The classes focus on using your core for the entire class with 2 core specific sets. I've noticed a huge difference in my…
