  • Honestly, this whole post gives me a headache.
  • I am in the exact same situation. I plan on just getting up a little bit earlier 3x a week to strength train and leaving it at that. Nevertheless, my Monday-Friday job is working with children, so I will get plenty of cardio. ;D
  • I have found some really nice work clothes from thrift stores. Especially if you are still in the process of losing weight, I wouldn't go out and spend a lot of money.
  • I almost 5'5 (only a couple centimeters off!!) and I think that my goal weight is going to be 128. When I was in middle school, I weighed in the middle 130s and remember feeling good about myself. I set my original goal on here to 135 and currently I am 137.2. I just feel like I am still "fluffy" and think aiming for the…
  • I do not eat my exercise calories back. I have about 4 pounds until my goal weight, so I have set MFP to maintenance at the sedentary level (1730 calories). I do exercise, however it is usually 30 minutes weight training OR 2-3 mile run. I do not input these into MFP at all. I figure that at most my net calories for the…
  • I used to always waste fresh fruits and veggies as well! I suggest buying frozen veggies, that is how I cut down on waste. If you use the fruit in smoothies, buy them frozen. Honestly, I only really keep apples in my apartment because they last a very long time compared to other fruits (like bananas).
  • I love Quest and GNC Lean Shake. They both have a thicker consistency to me that I love. I have also tried Body Fortress whey protein and wasn't impressed.
  • I have heard that about working out too! I just started implementing 5K running three times a week, so I am hoping that is enough change from usual. For the past three months, I have gone to the gym three days a week for an hour and did Stronglifts followed by a 9:30 mile.
  • I am very meticulous about weighing everything. I do not eat out and log everyday. I think that a .5 loss/week may help, but I just can't convince myself to want to go that route until I am at least under 140.
  • Did you recomp in the mean time? I just feel like I couldn't just not weigh myself for a couple of months and not be upset about it. I think I may have to do this though. I have dropped 60 lbs since June. My body may be getting tired. :/
  • I remember when I was obese myself and hated running because it was so taxing on my body. However, I was set on being able to run, so I started out small. I started by doing 1 minute intervals for two miles. For instance, I would jog for a minute and then rest for a minute. I would continue this cycle until I did two miles…
  • I have tried the shake thing, but found it is so much more filling to eat actual food! I usually will have a shake in the morning time if I am on the go because I like to have a light breakfast, but I would never replace whole meals with it. I know they suggest replace two meals a day with a shake and then eat one real…
  • I recently put hersey kisses in the freezer. When I crave sugar, I usually get a couple out and let it melt in my mouth. I think it is 9 kisses for 200 calories, but I never get anywhere close to that.
  • I eat a very light breakfast because I prefer to save my calories for later :) I had a hard boiled egg and greek yogurt. About 200 calories and keeps me full until lunch
  • Summer!! I just want to say it is so amazing that you are beginning this adventure to a healthy lifestyle. :) I KNOW you can do it and I am excited to follow you on your journey! The first thing I would recommend is seeing your doctor and he/she can tell you best what your calorie intake should be and about how much you…
  • Sweet potato Avocado Peanut Butter Grilled chicken Hummus
  • I would go out! Drink water for your drink (to save calories) and pick something grilled with veggies. Try to find out where you guys will go beforehand, so you can plan accordingly. If you eat a sandwich, make it an open faced sandwich and eliminate the condiments. I usually find that I am happy with an open faced grilled…
  • Olives! Any and all varieties. Gross, gross, gross. Beef. Since I was a small child, the thought of a big chunk of beef just grosses me out. I just mostly eat chicken, turkey and fish. Oranges. The white stuff (I don't know what it is called) on the inside of oranges grosses me out and it has to be all out before I eat it.…
  • Peanut Butter & Co white chocolate peanut butter right out of the jar
  • I am a senior in college. I take 17 credits a semester and work full time. I basically just fit in exercise whenever I can. Anything helps! I try to aim for 30 minutes to an hour.
  • I have been losing weight for about six months now. Whenever I do eat out, I almost always eat at Subway. However, if I do go to a sit down restaurant, I can automatically tell what is going to have more calories. Always try to get something grilled and drink lots of water before your meal! (this will prevent you from…
  • I've never had Shakeology, but I do usually have some kind of "meal replacement" shake in the morning (herbalife or GNC). Personally, they are a very light breakfast and great for people on the go. I particularly like herbalife's banana caramel flavor and it tastes like a dessert for me (but with less calories). I usually…
  • I am usually in a hurry for breakfast time, so I do a protein mix. I have been using a GNC brand. I do two scoops, skim milk and sometimes I add in a banana or greek yogurt. This usually keeps me full until lunch. If I do get hungry, I will usually snack on edamame or greek yogurt.
  • I eat greek yogurt and edamame (green soybeans) between meals and this keeps me from getting hunger pains. I also recommend drinking lots of water throughout the day and green tea!
