I have a ~1973 Gibson SG that I got in high school. Have not picked it up in years. Going to have to see if I can still play the thing, if not, start learning again.

That is absolutely awesome! Congratulations, truly inspirational!!

Congratulations! You look fantastic! Commendable that your success was done with a Blue Bell creamery in the background!! :)

Great Job! Keep it going!

Absolutely awesome and inspiring! Now you just have to find a b-ball team worth rooting for! Oh, and thanks for KD :) Lifelong Warrior fan here. :D

Congratulations! But come on... sacrifice the coke but not the Jim Beam!

That is awesome! Way to go! No doubt you'll reach your goals!!

Yep, 231. I'll blame it on the oxy

I think everyone is a bit different on their overall game plan. Over the past couple of years, I've managed to shed 90 lbs. When I first started on the journey, I set goals, had excel charts with pertinent numbers and monitored them religiously. I found that setting goals (besides the overall target) did not work for me. I…

At 55 I was at 312 pounds. Managed to shed 85 in a couple years. Over time, I gained 32 of those back. Now at 61, lost those 32 (plus 1) since October. I think it does get a bit harder to lose weight with age, but as long at Calories In are less than Calories out, the pounds drop. I focus on calories only, don't worry…

Could use some friends. Add me! :)

Good luck! Found this to be easier than WW as you don't need to calculate points for everything. Lost 85 with WW, gained 32 of those back and have now lost those 32 using MFP since October. Works, all it needs is the dedication!

Well Done!

Wow! Congratulations!! You're looking awesome!!

The post drinking munchies are my challenge as well. I enjoy Scotch and Small batch Whiskeys, I now limit myself to 1 bottle a month and that seems to work for me.

Well done! Going to have to change your screen name. :)

6'4" Age: 61 Highest: 312 Lowest: 225 Managed to tack on 32 pounds after that to get to revised high of 257 in October Current: 226 225 In the initial goal, will revise that to low 2 - teens.

I have a Bowflex Ultimate 2 and a recumbent cycle in my home gym. Love the convenience and do some sort of workout 5 times a week (alternate strength and cardio)

Incredible transformation! Congratulations!!!

I had great success in the past using WW online. Problem was that I would slack off and not log points, ending up gaining back some weight. Lost 85 lbs with WW. It does help with the realization that portion control is king. I never did go to a WW meeting. Well, I hit my initial goal (225) and then stopped tracking.…

DYI and fixing stuff.

Male: 6'4" (61) Highest: 312 Lowest: 225 Current: 228 Looking to get to about 215 (would like to hit 212 so I can say I lost 100.

Just the opposite for me. Had "spotty" starts, but once the results start showing that provides the additional motivation to continue going forward.

I used Weight Watchers online when it was Points Plus and lost 85 lbs. The program works if you stick to it. In reality though, it's the same as MFP (at least on line only). The difference is Points instead of Calories. I got to my initial goal of 225, then slacked off and gain 30. Was going to get back on then started…

You can't look at is as a "diet plan". YOU need to change what you are doing. Diets fail, lifestyle change is (or should be) forever. Agree with the above. You are not eating enough. I'm 6'4 and an old guy. My goal is 1600 and have been losing relatively well. If I read you OP correctly, you're at 506lbs? Can't be too…

As you should be, although over 20 pounds in a month is excessive. Congratulations!

Haven't tried it and never heard of it until now. Checking the website looks like a get rich quick, multi-marketing scheme. I bet the stuff is expensive. But hey, must be worth it as it promises being able to live a "premium lifestyle" The verbiage on web makes this sound like a huge crock of _____.

Getting there. Although not a complete success story yet, I have been getting there. I started at 312, and the first pic is my somewhere in that range. The second pic is somewhere around 255 and the last one, most recently at 235. I'm 6'4, 61 years old, and my immediate goal is 225. Once I hit that, I may try to get to…

Spent about 6 months in Japan, some of the weirdest things: Horse Sashimi (was actually pretty good), Squid Sashimi (tentacles are still moving when the serve it to you), the worse thing was Fish Balls (raw fish testicles). In China had Sea Cucumbers which were absolutely gross, Goose Feet (far weirder than Chicken feet,…
