  • Down 3 for our 1st week weigh in. Sure works when you work it.
  • Raising my hand and screaming wildly, "me!". I will NOT make it this round but every pound is in the right direction. I have not been in ONEderland in 40 years. I get close! Then I blow it. It's my M.O. NOT this time! I'm on the bus and I'm not turning around. Down 5.7 this week (so far) tomorrow will be the official weigh…
  • Just joined and added my name. I had been in the last challenge and mid way (after losing my first 5 lbs) decided to hibernate and let it go. I gained the 5 back but not more. Here we go again. Ready and willing. Let's see if I'm able! SW 243.2 AfterCW 223.2 GW 199.9
  • I understand your goal weight entirely! Mine is the same. I haven't been under 200 in about 40 years! We can do this. 5 lbs at a time!
  • Many apologies to the group. I did not do as I committed to doing. In fact, I lost 5 lbs in the month of November only to gain it back in December. I am at exactly the weight I started on Oct. 28th. Am I disappointed? Sure. I have a lot to lose! But I am also grateful and proud of myself that I made some good choices so it…
  • I eat the veggies with no dip when others are partaking in tons of cheeses during appetizers, then at dinner watch portions of the turkey. I will taste a side or two - and I am bringing a big salad with my favorite dressing as well. Portion is the key. Also I do not drink alcohol which will save on calories.
  • Woke up this morning to leave by 5 15 am to get to the gym before work! I'm actually enjoying the workout. Did I just say that?
  • I also bought a spaghetti squash this week! I'll be making it tomorrow in a new recipe.
  • Down 3.1 this week. I am tracking daily, drinking my liquids, moving as much as possible. Committed and happy to have this challenge to help keep me accountable. Heading to the spreadsheet.
  • Very soon labels will be changing to reflect ADDED SUGAR - that's the sugar we have to worry about. It's the simple sugars that are in carby sweet things. Healthy natural sugars are the enemy.
  • For me? Whenever I get "too" anything - out of balance. That's when I have less resistance to saying "NO" to something that is not on my plan. One of the biggest ones is if I get too tired. Then I am too fatigued to fight the urge to overeat. I am trying to stay more balanced as getting more sleep is not an option for me…
  • I finally looked in the mirror this morning and saw my face. The only way I can describe it is that the bloat is gone. I saw pretty. I don't think it's about the weight lost, I think it's about the attitude. Knowing that I'm doing something good for myself. On the right path. I call that a victory!
  • No long weekend for me but I like to take 10 minute NON smoke breaks. I figure if my smoking colleagues can go out several times a day to smoke, than I can go out and walk for 10 minutes. Doesn't have to be a marathon walk. Doesn't have to be speed racing. Just moving my body. I used to do this regularly, then got "too…
  • I got up and out for a 7 am trainer appointment on Sunday even though I'd been sick for 4 days before with Fever. No excuses here! Plus she said I worked very hard! Oh yea!
  • pre pack "dinners" like sandwiches or wraps, or a salad and some chicken in a small cooler, then have a light snack when you get home. My daughter is a beast and will pre pack her entire day if she does not think she will be home to cook. I personally don't care for cold oatmeal or cold salmon.... but there are a lot of…
  • Biggest challenge for me this week is my dinners. I have NO time. I run from getting home from work to rehearsals every night (this is tech week showtime on the weekend days). I don't want to use it as an excuse - I want to make the best of it. Maybe simple small meals - one before rehearsal and one when I get home? Any…
  • I lost 1.2 lbs this past week! Happy to see it gone. Looking for the spreadsheet to log it? I'll look harder. I have a busy week of running from work to rehearsals this week and will have to come up with a strategy for dinner. Not much time. I may have to do 2 small meals. One before and 1 light one after I get home. Will…
  • I tracked everything even though it wasn't what would have been the healthiest for me. I consider that a victory because if I'm not being honest I have nothing.
  • To look beautiful and feel less achy in my knees To finally (after 50 years of fighting with my food) break through into Onederland To get healthier and live a long wonderful life
  • Thanks so much for starting this challenge. I am 100% committed and accountable!
  • Don't give up just take it one day at a time. That's all any of us have! "Do it today because yesterday you said tomorrow and tomorrow never came!"
  • Water is so important. I know the days I drink lots I am much better with my food. Sleep is also important but I have NOT mastered that yet!!! :(
  • Eating reasonably. 3 meals a day. 2 snacks. Tracking every day on MFP. Exercising at least 4 x per week (gym, and pool), drinking at least 60 oz of clear liquid and 20 oz of other liquid per day. Eating as clean as I can and staying away from refined sugar.
  • Judy from New Jersey and fairly new to MFP and very new to groups. Up and down my whole life and really tired of not breaking through the 200 barrier. Down almost 30 already and these 15 will put me at my first mini goal and only 20 lbs away from that darn barrier. Just started MFP after being on WW. I needed a change and…
  • Starting weight 239.9 as of this morning
  • I have been losing and gaining weight my whole life. Highest was 267. I am now down 27.1 lbs and still have just under 100 to lose. I had gotten down about 60 and put most of it back again. Now on MFP and really like the tracker with goals for various nutrients. Tracking is key for me to keep accountability. And I began…
  • Hi Jane, I'm new to MFP as well. I am just now at 240 after being down from 267! I had gotten down to 204 and let myself go up again - I was doing WW and now switching to be able to see the calories/nutrients. I'm happy to buddy up to do this together. Also can suggest a fabulous message board with people with like goals.…
