Metabolism slows down. It will hold onto any fat storage, if possible, after all else has been burned for energy.

What is your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure)? If too far below, body will go into starvation mode, slow metabolism, and store fat.

I'm not dairy free yet since I eat cheese. I love it on sauteed tofu for meal one. I am carb cycling and have low carb days. it's not too bad. I just have to get creative when planning daily meals on low days to make sure to stay at 20% carbs.

I never acquired a taste for flavored protein powder. So, I had to get creative with unflavored powder. I love chocolate. And I drink PB chocolate protein shake every day. Lol. No, not if we are talking proper form and technique. There is a couple that lifts in a local gym and they squat very heavy....yet can't make it to parallel....and they are personal trainers teaching others this way. I was told to take creatine after my workouts. But made me feel bad. And the pumps during workouts were a bit painful. I tried different brands, too. I quit taking it. Hope it works for you. I tried Tribulus awhile back. It gave me gains in strength without the creatine side effects.

I count carbs for fibrous vegetables in my daily plan. Just found out fibrous vegetables shouldn't be counted for daily carbs. Is this right? Very confused now. I used to run at night back in the day when it was safer to do so. Loved it!!! Nowadays I can't even ride my bike on the road without being a target. But small strobes work. And light reflecting clothes.
