I too have used mfp in the past, but never got into the discussions until this time around. I love the calorie counting for cutting although I don't like how the exercises are done so I don't log mine. I've found a few great apps for recipes as well. There are old staple of chicken and brown rice gets really tiresome lol.

I'm just trying to loose a few pounds of fat. Over the last year I've let my eating habits get away from me.

I'm 37, but act like I'm 12. :#

It's a typical feeling, especially when starting a diet or program. Overtime it gets to be better. Bad habits are hard to break, but good habits are even harder to cultivate. Also you shouldn't overlook the value of a cheat meal or rest day, you will go insane if you do lol.

What kind of exercises are you looking for? Are you wanting exercises with weights or bodyweight exercises? There's some great apps that have at-home workouts as well.

I would advise anyone taking this drug to be cautious. Take a moment to look up the side effects and the damage it can cause. There are numerous websites and videos showing more than just the stated side effects. My ex-wife took it and it gave her heart problems and she has to take heart medication now.

Following any diet can be trying. Cheat meals, not days, can be a life saver at times. Don't feel bad about it, enjoy it, just don't make it a habit. When you feel bad or guilty from a cheat meal, begins a slippery slope. You start saying things like "I've messed this week up so I'll start over Monday". Just enjoy it,…

Hi everyone! My name is Alex, I'm 37 and back on here after a rough patch. I work out constantly, but food has been my weakness lol. I've learned a lot over the years and will be happy to share with anyone that needs help or a boost. There are times when I too need the same. Feel free to add me.

I will try to find it, but there was a study years ago in which they proved that weight loss is achieved by simply eating less calories than you burn. The nutrients and what the calories came from had no bearing on the parcipitants weight loss. The difference in your nutrients come in to play for other factors.

How do you post pics?

Procrastinating on doing dishes and then homework.

I have made cauliflower crust on several occasions. It is awesome and the kids never realized it's not standard dough. I also found a recipe on Pinterest for cheese sticks using cauliflower.

I confess that I want to have friends and some kind of social life, but because of my past situation I have no idea how to talk to people and feel that I won't be liked.

Oh? Wish I had seen this thread before I cleaned up. Had grilled chicken, steamed broccoli and whole wheat homemade macaroni and cheese tonight. I'll definitely keep this thread on the list and post often.

Nothing that I think of, but maybe my intelligence.

Curious..The feline in your profile, is that yours? And what kind?

I feel your pain. I work at night and it's so easy to grab junk and harder yet to motivate myself. You just have to make the time. I believe that you can, you have found the time to achieve your goals so far. Just set this up on the same mind set.

I wish you the best. I know it's hard, and then after losing the weight gaining it back. That's where I'm at now. It takes dedication, but keep your eye on the prize and you will get there

Thank you
