  • Also if you are strictly vegetarian not vegan, dairy and eggs are great sources of protein! Before I had to cut dairy, my favorites were Light & Fit greek yogurt (80 calories, 12g protein) and Cheese Heads light string cheese (50 calories, 7g protein).

  • Calorie counting. Simply being vegetarian and not eating sweets isn’t enough if you aren’t actually tracking your food. You can eat “healthy” and still eat way too much, and that will cause you to gain weight. Plug your stats into my fitness pal. And follow what it tells you.   • Please ignore my currently bloated/distended tummy and instead focus on the muscle definition I’ve gained! (PS I didn’t get tanner - just the *kitten* lighting in my room. Still as pasty as ever.)
  • I only keep snacks/junk food in the house that my husband likes, but I don’t like. For example, jalapeño chips (yuck!) instead of salt & vinegar chips (which I would demolish).

  • I don’t weigh for the same reason as you, I didn’t want to become too obsessive with it. I do use measuring cups sometimes though, especially for calorie-dense foods like nut butters.   • 6 lbs in 2 months is pretty aggressive and may not be the best plan. Just plug your stats into MFP and eat what it tells you. Calories in/calories out, there is no special secret.   • @gutsnglory6 Don’t forget that as your weight goes down, your caloric needs go down as well. So once you got the 130s, it probably won’t be exactly 1750 - you’ll have to recalculate what .5 would look like for your lower weight. :smile:
