I used to really want my boyfriend to be a musician and play similar music as me (I'm a bluegrass bassist). It's just too much. Now I'm dating a gym guy. We have nothing in common but damn are we having fun. I am confused.

My idea mate is hot, lifts, gets my odd sense of humor, is creative, adventurous, hard working (I work hard so I admire this in a mate as well), likes children, can sit with me comfortably in silence or chat away for hours, understands my need for isolation/alone time. Damn. No wonder I've spent my life single.

You need to track longer. Also eat in a deficit.

Quantity. I eat huge salads. Anything I would make a sandwich or burger with, I just eat in a salad instead. I use salsa for dressing. All my meat is lean (tuna, ground turkey, shrimp, etc). Would never have it. Very calorie dense for not much reward. Would rather eat fruit and a serving of protein.

I use raised heel lifting shoes. I squat better to depth and feel more secure this way.

It's expensive. The prep is hard. Getting a taste of that leanness can sometimes be difficult as you put weight back on. But if you're passionate about it, try. Otherwise, don't.

I used to have a coach but can't afford it anymore. I ran PH3 and just tested my maxes yesterday. It's 5 days of lifting with a typical (yet aggressive) powerlifting DUP and then a full body building program hitting upper and lower each twice per week. Hm...I guess it's really important to me and I happen to really like my foods. When I don't track (like now), I'm sure my protein intake is closer to 115 just because yeah...carbs are good.

Will never understand this difficulty. I'm 5'4" woman and I can get 160 easily in a deficit. Eat...the protein. You'll have to sacrifice some carbs or fat to do so.

I'm doing terrible. No cut to be seen. I look the smallest I ever have at 147 though and I can eat so much more than I used to be able to so...screw it. I'm staying juicy this summer. Boys have been buying me dinner too so I figure everything is looking alright enough.

I celebrate a whoosh even though I usually end up being about 1 pound heavier than for a true weigh in. In the end it's still 2lbs lost. By yeah, my whooshes don't usually stick/is not all fat.

How's your programming? Are you getting a good progressive overload? I'm 5'4" 147lb female and I find that most PPL programs don't have enough volume for me.

Yeah. Run a full body/body weight program. You might be fine adding progressive overload with bands in addition to sets, reps, etc. @sardelsa Is there a Strong Curves body weight program?

I prefer to eat more egg whites. I "munch on them". I can have 6 for the same calories as two full eggs. Plus I can break up my macros and have fat from avocado or cheese.

Yeah. Ovulation too. I really only get like one week of successful "dieting" per month.
