I'm so inspired by you and this post was EXACTLY what I needed right now. I just turned 49 and battling hormonal changes. I'm 50 pounds overweight. I went to the dentist today and my blood pressure was OBSCENELY high, stress being another contributing factor. I made a doc appt for Wed and I'm sure he's going to put me on…

This site is not a Keto site, nor is it a diet site. It's a tool you can use to track your calories, as well as carbs, fat, etc.

I give myself a break and indulge my cravings for that day or two. Your weight loss can handle some treats once a month. Go easy on yoursef.

Dead? I'd have fried chicken and sparkling wine with Benjamin Franklin and listen to all of his interesting ideas. Living? Sushi with Keanu Reeves and bask in all of his gentlemanly hunky glory! Edit: I might change my "living" answer to having breakfast with Charlie Sheen at some diner the morning after one of his benders…

I'm about 5'7 1/2. I want to get down to 150-155 range. I'm muscular, curvy and I have a large frame and there is no way I could get down below 140. I'd look awful and unhealthy. Also, I'm almost 50 and I like wine and cheese too much.

I hate wearing a mask....it fogs up my glasses, my face gets sweaty and hot, it makes me uncomfortable. But not as uncomfortable as someone who can't f*#@ing breath because of Covid19 or whose organs are permanently damanged. So I'm happy to wear one if it means keeping my fellow humans safe and healthy. It's really not…

Olives. They ruin everything they touch.

I just went back to my gym (Youfit) last week. First time since March and it like was nothing had changed. (Except for them scanning foreheads upon entering.) I have been going to Row House, a group spinning class, for the past month. The machines are spaced out about 4-5 feet so I feel like it's fine.

Zenni opitical is the best. I have been getting my glasses there for years and they are each around $50-75 a pair so I buy them like shoes. They have a wide selection of frames. Plus, they are inexpensive so you won't break the bank if you try a pair and you don't like them.
-
Where do you live? It's like running in a clothes dryer here during this time of year.
-
I just joined Row House last month so I did their Signature Class this morning. It's like Soul Cycle but with rowing machines. I really love it, despite the high price tag.

It's a very helpful website where you can post on neighborhood boards. It's good for nosy, busy-bodies or people who just want to know what's going on around the neighborhood.

I use Nextdoor all the time and I changed my last name so it's a variant of my real one because there are some crazy-a$$ed people on that site.

The public schools around here are worried about getting sued...that's what is driving the whole virtual learning thing. And they should be worried because you know they would get sued in a heartbeat if a student or teacher got the virus. That's the world we live in.
-
Our county public schools are going virtual. That works fine for my rising high school freshman because she can self-manage and works well online. For my rising 5th grader who has learning challenges and autism, that's a problem. I can telework so I can be here, but he really needs face-to-face learning and I'm not enough.…

I read every night for about 10-15 minutes. It helps turn my brain off.

I'll take a Dad bod over a heavily cut and muscled bod ANY day!

This is so me, except that I'm not quite at the point where I can run decently. I keep trying though! The feeling at the end is amazing. It makes total sense.
-
Like I've said repeatedly, I do it rarely. It's hard to go through life without running, especially when you have kids or want to participate in the occasional 5K fundraiser. Why do you have to relentlessly badger someone over a light-hearted answer to a random question on the internet? Get a life already.

What part of 'I don't do it very often' do you not understand?

Ha! That reminds me of this article I read with some examples of male authors trying to write about female bodies and failing. It's hilarious. https://www.buzzfeed.com/farrahpenn/heres-how-male-authors-described-women-in-books

Where did I say that was the only cardio I do? The question was, where does your mind wander when you run? I don't run very often, but when I do, those are my exact thoughts. Thanks for your advice, though.
-
How horrible it is to run and how much I detest it. And if I have to run 20 more yards i might die. How boring it is and how it’s take suckiest exercise ever. This is why i have to have a podcast going... it’s the only way i can run.

That’s a hard no.

Definitely the Internet. I tell my daughter constantly how lucky she is to have the Internet as a tool for learning and communication. When I was in college, we didn't even have email. If you didn't understand something after reading the textbook or class notes (the only resources you had), you had to trek to your…
