I just stopped using sugar and my taste buds adjusted. Now I just use half and half or skim milk.

I'm not sure what you mean by mindfulness, but I do yoga stretches every night before bed for about 15-20 minutes. There are some good videos on Youtube. Flexibility is a focus for me this year.

I think it's common. I lost 6 pounds the first week! I'm sure it was a lot of water weight, but I was still kind of alarmed. I have my calorie deficit to lose 1 pound a week and I've been very strict about it. The second week I lost a whopping 1/2 pound...haha. At least that's more in line with what I expected. Slow and…

I have a huge sweet tooth and want something every night. I usually have either an orange, a sugar free Jello pudding cup (60 cal), or I make a sorbet out of blended frozen fruit with a little dollop of whipped cream.

My profile was upper middle-class, just like I expected.

Same thing every day. Bowl of shredded wheat cereal covered w/ sliced bananas and skim milk.

It's Thanksgiving and it's once a year so I don't worry about it. I'll have a plate of stuffing, please.
-
I absolutely do because eating 1400 calories a day is no way to live.
-
I have a 60 calorie Jello sugar free pudding.

It's one night of the year and I'm going to eat candy and not worry about it.

We don't cook anything really special in ours, but it is by far the most used appliance in our house. I'm looking for a bigger, nicer one for Christmas. We bought a cheap one a little over a year ago and it's time to upgrade. Fries, chicken tenders, bone-in pork chops. Really anything.

I'm so glad you are feeling better!

My symptoms started Sunday. My husband tested positive for it the Friday before, so I knew it was only a matter of time. My back has been killing me, too! I just chalked it up to my crappy back and my desk chair, but maybe it's related? Interesting. The doc said to take Tylenol and that zapped the back pain away pretty…

That's a nice steady weight loss.Keep it up!

3 pound fluctuation I can see, but 32 poiunds sounds like a serious scale defect. I keep ours in the same place and I keep some weights nearby. I weigh the weights every time to see if the scale is accurate before I use it. I know ours is 2 ounces off for example. I'd get a new scale.

Absolutely diet. I really do think I'm addicted to food, so it's hard not to see sweets in the pantry and the fridge (which my family eats and loves) and not want to eat everything in site. Because once I start, I can't stop.

Movie theater popcorn Rice Krispy Treats (homemade, not that prepackaged crap) cookie dough

Also full side planks. (knees not touching the floor) This kills my hips and I can't balance. I feel ridiculous doing them.

Running/jogging. I've tried for 37 years since running crossing cross county when I was 12 and I still think it's torture. It's so boring.

I joined Row House recently, which is like Soul Cycle, but with rowing machines. I LOVE it. I can burn 500 calories in 45 minutes and something about it makes the time fly by. Plus, it's not so bad on my knees.

Waiting by Ha Jin, the story about a man in China in the 60s and 70s who wants to divorce his wife (arranged marriage) and marry the woman he loves, but it takes, like, 18 years. So yeah...a lot of waiting. I also just finished the memoir Educated by Tara Westover which was fascinating, heartbreaking, infuriating (I swear…

I have no pictures, but I just wanted to say that I just turned 49, too, and I have to lose 50 pounds. I'm calling it 50 Before 50...haha. I'm right there with you!

I've been to the salon once to get a haircut. Other than that, I'm using boxes of Clairol to keep away the gray.

I will be 50 next year so I feel like it's now or never, as far as losing weight. I need to lose 50 pounds and I've been kind of losing and gaining the same 20 pounds for the past few years. But I recently learned that I have high blood pressure, so now I really need to lose it if I want to be healthy and not be on…

I am always on the go, either working, cleaning the house, helping the kids, grocery shopping, etc. I never take time for myself. So, for me laying on the sofa and watching a movie with a bowl of healthyish popcorn is a huge luxury and a treat.

Veggies and a shrimp stir-fried with a good sauce over cauliflower rice. I could eat it every day

I'm so inspired by you and this post was EXACTLY what I needed right now. I just turned 49 and battling hormonal changes. I'm 50 pounds overweight. I went to the dentist today and my blood pressure was OBSCENELY high, stress being another contributing factor. I made a doc appt for Wed and I'm sure he's going to put me on…
