I keep a supply of low carb protein bars

I redid my TDEE. It gave my an allowance of 1700 calories. I consume around 1300 daily. I got a Fitbit for Christmas. No matter what it says I burn, I still eat around 1300 or less. Some days I eat protein or bison bars just to hit 1000. Until October 2017 I was basically sedentary. Around 2500 steps a day. Now 20,000…

Yes my horse even looks happier in the after pic!

Wow you guys are doing great and motivating me to share. I haven't wanted anyone to see my before pics. I am 4'11" and was at 249 pounds. I am now at 193 but when the after pic was taken I was around 200.

I mounted my horse from the ground this past Saturday. My girls 15 and 12 had never seen me do this. The 15y/o said, "You are always telling us how proud you are of us, well we are proud of you! You are doing so good."

I had hypertension, borderline diabetes, sleep apnea. Slept with a CPAP. I started low carb in January. By May, I had lost 40 pounds. My hypertension was gone. Including meds for it. I was no longer borderline diabetic. My sleep apnea along with the CPAP gone. At this point I have lost 55.5 pounds. I have much more…

You are under a doctors care so I would let him worry about that. Most likely the benefits outweigh the risk. Have you ever seen My 600lb life? They lose 50 pounds a month.

Get some new knees. My wake up call was being told I had to lose 30 pounds just to be a surgery candidate.

You need to find a program you can live with. Then make a lifestyle change. Not a diet. I've tried slimfast, low fat, south beach, WW, etc. I found keto or LCHF works well for me and is something I can live with. I hardly ever get hungry. And when I do I can eat delicious food. Experiment, find what you can live with and…

I love ice cream too. I usually have a few teaspoons when the cravings get bad.

What statagy are you using for weight loss? For instance you can cut calories, carbohydrates or fat. Then you can google recipes for that weight loss program. I'm in the south also. So I know it's all breaded and fried. Good luck

My favorite is bacon and cheddar stuffed chicken breast. You can google some recipes.

Make good food that you enjoy. There are delish low carb recipes. Cook up several days of food at a time. Take your food with you everywhere. That way you if you are hungry you have access to quick food. Watch out for protein bars. Some have a lot of carbs. I hope you enjoy the journey.

Yes. But you must find something else to do. Walk your dog, exercise, get a hobby to keep your hands busy.

Bacon and cheddar stuffed chicken breast. You can google the recipe.

I'm 55, doing keto since January. I've lost 48 pounds with a goal to lose 61 more in the next year. I need double knee replacements so my exercise is very limited. The surgeon told me I had to lose 30 pounds just to have surgery. What a wake up call! That's when I decided to set my goal of at least 109 and get in the best…

That's really hard! You still eat fish and eggs?

Bacon and cheddar stuffed chicken breast. Cook your bacon floppy and cut it up. I use about 1 piece per breast. Add about 1 cup grated sharp cheddar. Set aside. I cut each breast in half to make them thin. Lay chicken out flat and put handful of bacon and cheese in each breast piece. Fold over ( stick a toothpick in it).…

Yum. Will have to try that.

Don't give up! My plateau lasted 5 weeks. Glad I stuck it out.

I'm alone too. Even though my spouse could stand to lose a great deal of weight. The family orders pizza and I have salad. My in laws have at least 1 gathering a month that revolves around eating. I have quit attending. I have lost 48 pounds this year and feel that I have fought for every one of them. I plan to lose 61…

Thanks!! Tried it and got it.

Since starting keto in January I'm down 48 pounds, off blood pressure meds and my CPAP is history. Also I feel like doing something all the time vs sitting and watching TV. My mental state and definitely my confidence has improved. Looking for friends.

Not my 1st time either. Please add me. I've lost 48 with at least 61 to go.
-
Add me. Started with 109 to lose. Have lost 48 pounds so far this year. Would love to share Keto recipes.

Absolutely. I was overweight in excess of 100lbs. High blood pressure, sleep apnea, borderline diabetes. After loosing 48 lbs this year, I am no longer borderline diabetic, off blood pressure meds and my CPAP is history.
