Hello all, i am new here.. i started weightloss journey only 3 days ago. I let myself add 20 kilos with plenty of junk food. However to start off this journey and to get the motivation i started the optifast diet. 3 shakes a day and a optisoup. As you can imagine i am starving, i added a dinner dish with the soup which is amazing, chilli tuna, avocado, tomato and italian herbs. All up its 1020 calories. It seems to be ok for me. What are your thoughts? Should i be eating more? The app says im not eating enough and the results not posted lol. I would love to hear your suggestions.
Thankyou! Andrew

Well, since you ask- madness.
What has proven to work is a modest calorie deficit, tracked (that's planning, weighing & measuring, and recording your intake) over time. Nobody wants to allow for the time. Which results in efforts like yours. If 1000 calories per day doesn't make you sick, it will likely drive you crazy. OK for 3 days is not OK long enough to lose 40+ lbs.
Maybe you're the 1 in 500000 who can make something like that work. But more likely you're 1 among the 499999 who won't.
Also losing like that you will be burning muscle.
Really hope I'm reading your post in a year that I'm all wrong. That you lost it all and kept it off.2 -
You need to find a program you can live with. Then make a lifestyle change. Not a diet. I've tried slimfast, low fat, south beach, WW, etc. I found keto or LCHF works well for me and is something I can live with. I hardly ever get hungry. And when I do I can eat delicious food. Experiment, find what you can live with and good luck!2

Thank you all, this is new to me, when i first used this app i noticed i was eating over 10000 calories a day. I am using the optislim as just a quick solution to get back some confidence. At the same time using this opportunity to experiment and scan what is in my kitchen and monitor what i can and cant eat, also it comes down to portion size. Obviously if i feel unwell during this process i will stop immediately. I am at day 4 now and i have allot of energy at the moment. I treated myself last night but still within my calory range, so i am not restricting myself to just the shakes0

The problem with quick solutions is they do nothing, you lose a bunch of water weight and you then put it back on as soon as you eat properly and you learn nothing about portion control.
