  • I derailed myself last year undoing a lot of good work. After a long absence from myfitnesspal I am back on track. This 10 day challenge seems like something I can do. Age 59 Height 5ft 10 1/2" Pre-challenge SW 313 lbs (started back at myfitnesspal Oct 1st. Down 15 lbs) SW 298 lbs (I have a photo to prove it, I'll take a…

  • You are certainly taking my excuses away! *applause*
  • Steven here in Southern California. Starting weight when I came back to MFP at the start of April was 300lbs. My goal sometime in the summer of 2018 (it's too far off yet to have a sense of when that will be) is 185lbs. But if I only manage to take off 100 lbs and crack the 200 lbs marker I'll be pleased. It's the process…
  • This is my 4th block of 10 days. A little public accountability is not a bad thing at all. That, plus seeing how others are doing, is motivating for me. As it happens I do weigh myself every day (almost) and take measurements on Mondays. My scale is a digital one that logs to the half pound. When I came back to MFP…
  • I am definitely in for this one because late night snacking is absolutely a problem for me. Part of it is being a night owl but mostly it's a very bad acquired habit I need to break myself of. Since I am a night owl I am setting 10pm as my red-line for winning/losing this challenge. I hope the public accountability factor…
  • I've been posting my steps over in the other June steps challenge. For the last week of the month I'll post to both threads. For July we should get coordinated to pull both challenges into one place. I have the Accupedo app on my cell phone. I've been using it to work my way up to that 10000 steps goal. Some days I get…

  • I just noticed this challenge. It looks like an excellent idea. Just being classified as "overweight" would be a huge victory. When I returned to MFP (after a lengthy absence) I weighed exactly 300 lbs. That tells you right there that an alarm bell went off for me. At 5' 10" (70") height my BMI was 43. Which is on Table 2…
  • There are currently two "10K steps in June" challenges going on. Hopefully for July we can pull that into just one thread.

  • I have the Accupedo app on my cell phone. I've been using it to work my way up to that 10000 steps goal. Some days I get there, most days I don't, but the process is working with the daily count on a continuous rise, going from a commitment of 4000 steps a day 8 weeks ago to 6000 steps a day after the recent holiday…

  • It looks like quite a few folks have stopped logging or have moved over to the other June steps challenge. For July we should plan on merging into one steps challenge.
