It depends on many factors, I'm sure. So far, I see no difference with strangers. Those who know I'm changing and have seen the change are nice about it, but as far as strangers are concerned, nothing has changed. In big cities, you're pretty much invisible. In small cities, you're greated with a smile but quickly…

Sports, working, and being social. Anything that requires focus, and that you're engaged in may make you forget about your stomach. I've been in situation where I felt like starving at 5pm before going out to socialize, went out, didn't eat/drink, went back home at 11pm, and felt marginaly hungry only then.
