Absolutely amazing! Congratulations!

Whatever you do, have fun with whatever program/method you follow. I have 70 - 90 lbs to lose, and one of the things that keeps me inspired is literally "playing" with my food (i.e. creating new recipes and trying to come up with alternatives to some of my favorite and less healthy foods). Whatever inspires you, let it be…

I'm in the same boat. Diabetic and had to make the switch a couple of weeks ago. I'm on day 13 of going fully keto, and I definitely noticed the loose BM's and the having to go more often (including some gut cramp) and did a little research. From what I gleaned this is a normal part of the body shifting metabolic gears.…

I'm on day 13 of going completely keto, and while I don't feel a change in my energy level yet, I still notice a marked difference in staying leveled out all day long and my stress seems to show a definitive improvement as well. It hasn't been easy but I have to say that it's been more fun than any other diet I've tried…

I can't speak for anyone else, but I do know that for me, starting out is exciting because I see results right away from losing water weight stored up in my muscles. When that slows it can be frustrating, but the only way to come to terms with it is to keep going and start taking measurements instead of going by that…

Thanks so much Y'all! All are awesome suggestions!

Trying to keep it under $50

I'm wanting an all around activity monitor, Android compatible, that can track sleep, workout, calorie burn, etc. If I get one with HR monitoring too, that would be great since my job has me sitting all day but the stress level is pretty intense.

Welcome back!

I know your pain intimately. I had back surgery back in 2012 and I still have problems. The best thing you can get for yourself is some bungee bands and a hand bike. You can get strength training with the bands without jarring your back too much, and the hand bike is great for cardio. And yes, definitely walk, even slowly.…

I noticed no difference between keto and a standard caloric reduction type diet in terms of energy and weight loss. For me though, eating the high fat diet does make me hungry less often. I often find it hard to get enough calories for the day because I'm just not in need of that snack, or what I'm craving doesn't give me…

Great! You're a braver woman than I am! I haven't posted any pictures yet because I've always been a bit camera shy since my weight skyrocketed in my 30's. But maybe its time that I did.

To control my diabetes with diet instead of drugs and it's working! To slow the progression of my autoimmune disease and keep my fibromyalgia from dragging me down. But admittedly, also I want to feel better about my body which is short and stocky as a good Cajun/Irish girl should be. This journey is completely and…

What an awesome commitment! And don't worry about the PCOS thing about fewer calories, because that is nonsense. My daughter has PCOS, so when she was diagnosed I started a journey of seeking as much information I could on the subject, going so far as to go to our local medical college during visiting hours and pouring…

Thanks everyone for that reassurance. As much as I would love to lose a pound a day until I reach my goal, I want that weight loss to be a healthy one that doesn't revert later to an unhealthy weight gain. I won't be eating carbs in the future either. I've recently been diagnosed diabetic, so I had to make some changes.…
