Onederland!!!

I can't imagine wanting my veggie burger to bleed.

It's the heat. It should only be warmed.

I'd gain a pound a day. Three meals, drinks, and snacks would probably add an extra 3,500 calories a day, I'm sure. So four days would take me two or three weeks to undo. I'm not saying it isn't worth it.

I've found it easier to focus on me.

I have insulin resistance associated with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. This often leads to diabetes. I cut carbs to less than 100g a day, do not consume liquid calories, and avoid general sweets. I've lost over 50 pounds. My A1c dropped to 4.7 and my insulin is doing so much better! Cut the sugars, reduce carbs, and lose…

As a teacher, I can say with certainty that when a child comes home and says, "I was the only one..." it's not always true.
-
@danette_moos I'm right behind you. I should be submitted to insurance in less than two weeks.

Potato chips are my downfall. My husband hides a bag in the garage.

Everything tastes terrible after having a zinc lozenge. I also brush my teeth frequently. It doesn't address the bigger issue, but it's a useful bandaid.

I look forward to having my droopy, breastfed-for-four-years, deflated-inflated-deflated-again boobs back where they belong.
-
So I've noticed.

They all included potatoes in the list of carbs to limit.

I'm on a physician supervised diet; my doc and dietician said hair loss is low protein. I upped protein and hair loss has improved.

Your disclaimer at the beginning of your post is completely respectful and so supportive. I'm sure that's great for the OP and anyone else reading who may be in a similar situation. Thanks!

This is NOT woo, according to my PCP, bariatric physician, and registered dietician.

Garlic cheese toast... the entire box! Instead I have one slice.

I absolutely will NOT record a gain. I struggled with an eating disorder for two decades. Seeing an increase causes a tinge of disordered thinking. I just wait it out until I can record a loss.

I absolutely must rely on nutrition information, even if it's off a bit. Today, I felt satisfied, as if I'd eaten plenty. I had only logged 745 calories. Obviously, I should have a snack! Last week I failed to log my lunch, and after I entered it following dinner, I had gone way over my daily calorie allotment and still…

Clearly, yes. I speak from personal experience.

After successfully losing 50+ pounds, hearing, "Here is what you really need to be doing to lose weight..." I've heard this from a few people.

I have fibro and must stay fairly active or the pain in much worse. You absolutely can be active and still have fibromyalgia. Meds helped me considerably (Cymbalta).

You can do it! You're here, so that's a start. For me, I had blood work done and didn't like the results. That was enough to finally get me motivated. Maybe consider a trip to your doctor and a conversation with him/her regarding diet and exercise, and make an appointment with a dietician. Those things helped me. Just know…

Likewise, GailK1967, I am leaning away from surgery after reading this.

I told people I'm eating right and losing weight. It keeps me accountable knowing people ask me how much weight I've lost.
-
Maybe you just need some folks to say you look good. You do.

Pee

Everyday, first thing in the morning after I pee. :)

I've started working out before work. I'm just too tired after spending the day teaching fifth graders. I get up at 5:45 and spend time on the treadmill. Then I hop back into bed in front of a fan for a bit before showering and heading off to school.

I choose to not eat my exercise calories. If I'm working hard to burn them, I don't want to eat them back. My doctor and dietician are completely supportive of NOT eating exercise calories.
