I was sitting in a chair and bent down to tie my shoes and I was able to do it without holding my breath. My belly didn't get in the way! Yahoo!

A1c went from 11.4 in December to 5.9 April 1st. Coincidentally I have lost 30 pounds but my goal is to cut out refined foods and eat fresh veggies like crazy.

To get under 290 by the end of the month. I'm stalled at between 291 and 293 for the last two weeks.

I've not heard of VIRTA, but after a crazy high A1c on Nov 30th, I just eliminated processed foods and started eating tons of fresh vegetables and smaller meat portions. I've lost 20 pounds and after only 1 month my A1c was down 4 points. That's what is working for me, but every person is different. Like the above poster…

Dude, you are ME - I have been bouncing back and forth between 292 and 294.8 for the last two weeks. I started at 312 Dec 1st.

I have type 2 diabetes which I had very well under control until Covid hit and I became an eating and drinking machine. Out of shear boredom my wife started baking, I started eating bread again, truth be told I was not doing what had worked for me in the past. Time to pay the piper as they say happened on November 30th…

I'm a type 2 diabetic. My doctor advised me not to eat processed foods, starchy foods and sugary drinks (which I didn't drink anyway). I started reading labels and avoid items with added sugars. I've stopped concentrating on the things I CAN'T eat but on all the things I CAN eat. Fresh and frozen vegetables can be awesome…

November 30th my A1c was 11.4 - lots of quarantine eating and drinking. My wife was bored and started baking. Enough of the excuses.... I decided to get back on MFP and track what I was eating. Amazing how much lettuce, arugula and spinach you can eat without breaking 100 calories. Long story short, yesterday went to the…

Went to my new doctor today. My old doctor who I really liked retired so I was a bit nervous, especially because my last Bloodwork on November 30th was 11.4. Well, the nurse did the usual blood pressure, temperature etc... and then took a drop of blood to check my A1c. A few moments later the doctor comes in and introduces…

Went to the doctor today, my A1c on November 30th was an insane 11.4. After a month and a half it was down to 7.7 today! Doc said I don't know what you're doing, but whatever it is keep doing it. Next appointment is in 3 months. To be continued.....

I was able to put my socks on easier than I have in a long time

My wife bought guacamole the other day and instead of using the chips that she bought, I cut up some radishes into rounds and used them instead of the chips. Crunchy and tasty all at the same time.

Dr appointment today - hit 294.4! Made my short term goal. New short term goal is to hit 290 lbs by the end of the month.

I have a soda stream - (it's a thing that makes club soda) I make the club soda and add some fresh lemon juice to it. I drink about 6 cups of that throughout the day. It seems to fill me up. I also drink regular water throughout the day. Probably 8 to 10 cups a day total

You are a true inspiration! In 2017 I was at 345 lbs. I lost a bit of weight over the next year and have been hovering between 320 and 315 for about a year. My last blood test came back really bad and I decided I need to once again get serious. Today I was 295.4 but 215 seems so far away. It seems impossible but after…

So close - 295.4 this morning. I really want to hit 295 by Friday because I have a doctor's appointment and want to show him my progress.

Moved a notch on my belt.

Great job! How long did it take you? This is very inspiring to me as I would like to lose about 90 more pounds but it sometimes seems so daunting.

Finally broke the 300 pound barrier. Next goal is 295. Keep counting calories and stay the course.

I hear you. I;ve been at 301.6 for a week (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were a killer) I'll be a little disappointed if I don't make it by the first but I won't give up.
