I track my workouts in another app that shows progression and everything, I just saw someone post on my feed the calories they burned. Honestly I probably just won’t count it I suppose rather than take a wild guess.. thanks for all the replies though

If you are on the app it should say diary at the bottom and you can log your meals there. If you are on the desktop site you can choose food at the top.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, when I go to the plus sign and choose exercise > strength > I can choose the exercises there but they don't have calories burned. If I choose Cardio the bench press etc is not there. Are you saying I need to manually enter the calories it burned?

I only just started weight lifting seriously on November 1st on a 5x5 program. 5x5 numbers Squat on November 1st 2017 - 80lbs Squat yesterday (January 3rd 2018) - 240lbs

Hi ;)
-
For strength training, I agree on the 5x5. It's what I'm doing and it's building a good strength base for me. Yes, the gym is intimidating at first with all of the equipment and people there who are obviously bigger, stronger, and in better shape than you. What I did was, before I started a real program, I would go and…

Trying to lose about 10 in the next 30 days or so, anyone can add me :)

The other side of Nashville here

I don't know, but I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
-
I start a new program later this month that has leg presses as an accessory on lower day, so I will be soon!
-
Nothing too bad... yet! I was ducking under the bar to do squats and not paying attention and banged the hell out of my head on the bar..
-
I don't leg press ever but squat around 250lbs, I'm curious what I can leg press now..
-
I do most everything at the gym but I have a bench, curl bar, and dumbbells at home so I do lots of flys and curls at home mainly

added!

Will be 38 in March, feel free to add me :)

I'd start with a 3-day full body beginner routine. You could do cardio on the other 2 days.

Go to Hawaii, EVERYBODY eats it.. not sure about jalapeno flavored though

I have cut out take out for the most part because it is so expensive, but I still do fast food pretty frequently. Now I am just more conscious of what I get. Today I had KFC for lunch, the whole meal was under 400 calories and I had a chicken breast, a salad, and a side of corn. I need to start meal planning though... that…

I find myself doing this all the time, googling random things that I will forget 10 minutes later. Last night I googled "how much can James Franco bench press"... no definite answer
-
I have this problem too, and like others have said the best way is to eat lighter during the day and take in most of your calories at night. I ate dinner and 4 snacks after dinner and was still 75 calories under my goal yesterday :)
-
One tip: if you don't use a food scale like me and aren't sure about the exact calories of something you eat, overestimate to be safe. (this is assuming you are trying to lose weight and not gain)
-
That looks good! Now I'm definitely ready for lunch!
-
I ate one tortilla chip yesterday, and logged it in MFP hah
-
I used to bake brownies on the regular and add ice cream and have a big glass of milk... so good. Haven't done that in months

37, father of 3. Trying to lose about 8-10lbs then gain about 10-15 in muscle this year. Feel free to add me :)

One of those glazed donuts that are sitting on my kitchen table that I know I can't eat..

I weigh myself daily but only log my weights once a week, sometimes twice. I used to weigh myself at the gym at night after a workout, but I think I'm going to start doing it in the mornings before I leave for work.

This one has pretty good fiber, I also add red kidney beans to the recipe. http://lifemadesimplebakes.com/2017/01/sausage-pepper-and-rice-skillet/

You didn't go wrong. If this was truly your first day at the gym you will tire easily and be sore afterwards. You have to keep going no matter how sore you get and work through the DOMS. Don't say "well I'm sore today better not go until I am not sore". Keep pushing through and the soreness will go away in a few weeks and…

The Disaster Artist with James and Dave Franco.. ended up being a decent movie but was really weird and had some cringey scenes in it.. worth watching if you like James Franco and have by chance seen the movie The Room (2003)
