So to the original poster, I think trying a vacation from snacks for a few weeks will go a long way towards breaking this habit. Only you know whether you are someone who can incorporate a snack that is not nutritious into your day and stick to the serving size (as opposed to opening the cookie box and eating until you are…

Btw, here’s what I found after making, the Brie I used was not light, it was all I had...but once out of the oven it had melted away into liquid. The apple slices were not super soft, and the glaze was yummy. I end up spooning the liquid over my chicken. Mostly it was easy. I’ll keep posting the good recipes.

A friend who had very limited time and hated exercise took my advice and used the stairs in her house up and down for exercise. I had her set the timer on her stove or watch and she started out 5 min day eventually weeks later got up to 20 min a day. She cut back on calories and over 6 months lost 40lbs!,

Just so very tired of all that being overweight does to you. The limited clothes that you can wear but they don’t fit either, so they’re uncomfortable. Knowing you are 100% being unhealthy and allowing that which I believe adds to the insanity and keeps you eating more. I’ve tried for months in 2020 and failed. But about 2…

I rekindled my love of walking during pandemic. I go 3,4 or sometimes 6 miles. If I didn’t have my dog and could swing my arms more my heart rate would go up. I wear a Fitbit and trrrryyyy to stay around 119 bpm. But like others have said it’s the mental benefit. Sometimes I listen to podcasts, or music. Sometimes i just…

Thanks everyone. I went today and kept them separate. Honestly I agree that it allows for better form and better WL session.

I had similar issue. I uninstalled my Fitbit and reconnected it and then did it all over again and iiiiiiii think? That did it. But if also called Fitbit support and they helped. I highly recommend going right to Fitbit support. Btw, I LOVE my versa 2!,

I was losing back in the spring & summer. I lost about 12-15lbs. I felt better physically and emotionally better at handling life's challenges. I've put on 6 lbs this fall. I'm recently motivated to go back on MFP, exactly why I'm posting right now, cuz I'm on it. But those stinkin 6 lbs have depressed me. And my body…

@RelCanonical thank you for giving me confirmation that logging everyday for the rest of my life may not be the be all end all. Yet, your original question got me committed to logging every day (or most of the 7 anyway) until it feels like I'm back in control, losing the weight I want to, and habits are more established.…

@88olds I really really love what you wrote and I'm extremely grateful for your time to write your advice. I LOVE the idea of the red line, because for the past few years, I've thought (haven't completely succeeded obviously) that this would be the best way to tackle this issue of mine. To have a threshold I do not go…

I'm so glad you asked this because I often ask myself if this is simply how it has to be long term. I guess the most honest answer is I get tired of the logging, or I forget one day and then 1 day becomes a week, a month, etc. Now truly, here's the thing. Having done it, it's really just a few seconds per meal to log what…

WineGelato! Yes yes. An exercise friend said to achieve her weight loss she had to give up bread! Only eats it now when she's out at a restaurant and it's really good. Made me very sad, ha ha I normally eat Daves Killer but got to say Whole Foods Organic Ciabatta is so yummy that I would prefer that with dinner over…
