today: yesterday:
-
I'm on day 407 right now, only broke the streak in december 2019 because I was on vacation and ended up logging the day the next morning

question, I have one of those stepper things, but I'm worried about the sounds for my downstairs neighbours... before I go try it, any opinions/personal experience? fwiw I work out in socks with rubber soles to try and reduce noise atm

everyone's weight fluctuates by a kg or two! I wouldn't worry unless you see it steadily go up by more than 2kg or so (and stays up longer than a few weeks) I'm practically the same height/weight as you and I've seen my weight jump between 53 and 57kg without me changing anything about my diet/exercise (it tends to settle…

a set of dumbbells, a cheap workout mat and maybe a resistance band
-
Trust me, putting on muscle is not that easy/fast, and people who look "bulky" work hard to get to that look Nothing wrong with adding weights while still losing weight; I wish I'd done it sooner
-
this is what I did yesterday: (I modify/use low impact versions because I live in an apartment and don't want to bother my downstairs neighbours) this is the plan for today:
-
I'd try something that's low impact if you're having issues with your joints, maybe low impact standing cardio? low impact isn't necassarily "easy" or low intensity, you'd still be getting a good workout
-
yes, I lost most of my excess weight (roughly 80lbs of it) just through diet, not really working out at all I do work out now tho, and it has lots of benefits
-
maybe it's not the cheapest thing ever but if I could choose one thing from my "home gym equipment" to keep it would be my dumbbells.. one of my pairs is 10+ years old at this point and they get a lot of use - these things (most anyway) last a very long time! also so many things you can do with them
-
I'd highly recommend something like fitnessblender, their workouts are on youtube but their website lets you sort them by type, length and difficulty. After that, I got mostly into Sydney Cummings, she does both cardio, bodyweight workouts, and workouts with dumbbells and resistance bands. She shows modifications for…

honestly not really, BUT the days I didn't get enough sleep at night I'm definitely way hungrier than usual
-
I'd say unless you're drinking a lot of it it's most likely not the main (or even significant) cause of weight gain. I've weighed out my "splashes" of milk and the difference between me using my skim milk or my parents' whole milk was a max of 20-30kcal per very large cup of coffee. Similarly me using a tiny bit of sugar…

I also add in some protein powder to my oatmeal, makes it much easier to get the amount of protein where I feel good/full, especially in the mornings. I can be a bit low on protein on the days I don't eat meat (tho I do tend to eat a decent amount of beans, lentils etc)
-
trust me that's not gonna be an issue xD

I will literally be living a 5-6 minute walk from work :)
-
I maintained for the past 5 weeks averaging 2100, but I'm a bit taller (between 5'2 and 5'3 in the 118-120lb range), I was walking a fair bit and working out tho - would depend on the type/length of your workouts I also do a lot of sydney cummings videos :) mostly her low impact and weights stuff tho (I live in an…

it's fine (and good) to eat your exercise calories if you're active, however, like people have pointed out, those calories sound inflated... for perspective, I'm a bit older (30), a hair under 5'3 and maintaining in the 118-120ish lb range, I just spent a month walking to work and back (2h of walking a day, at roughly…

just gonna update - I got to weigh myself after 5 weeks, i'm about 0.7kg heavier than last weigh in (which is within normal fluctuations for me, considering I've been aiming to maintain) - but basically, yeah, proves to me I wasn't tired due to undereating (I was fairly sure I was maintaining but hard to judge without a…

my country: we're opening clothing and shoe shops for a week also my country: you can't try on shoes before buying them also just found out I might not get work (and not get paid) last few days of the month sorry guys, I'm gonna keep stuff in mind but man I can't want for this month to be over
-
I'll look into that! not sure how easily available it is here (I live in a small EU country, getting stuff can be a pain sometimes), might be able to order online tho, provided it's not too expensive
-
unfortunately not allowed to atm, masks must be worn at all times outside, no eating or drinking allowed (400€ fine for it)
-
I'm already taking supplements including vit D! :) but yeah the "No sunlight" thing has been miserable
-
honestly? Been feeling pretty meh... I don't get anything done - apart from work and some workouts (why I get THAT done and not other stuff, I have no idea) I was going to therapy between october 2019 and march 2020 but that got cancelled because of covid (I was going for anxiety and issues with perfectionism which would…

I just can't do it... i look at things and I want to do them but it feels... kinda... joyless? I have no energy to even try
