I can't have sweets in the house. They won't be here for a day. I bought a dehydrater, and I use it for making snacks out of fruit. I often cut apples into small pieces and put cinnamon on them, and dehydrate. They are often enough to satisfy any immidiate need. Then I do that hippie mindful eating thing …

Finish Star Trek - Next Gen Finish Wheel of Time Run that Marathon I signed up for In that order.

Thank you. Yes, I ate my exercise cal back yesterday, even went a little over. Then I was going for a 2 km run, but ended up running 16 km because I was feeling much better than I had in the last days. (And I am eating that back as well) So that is definitely my new strategy. Thank all of you for the advice. I learned a…

I have celiac disease too, and kg's to shed. We can share stories of how awful food without gluten can taste

Thank you all so much for your comments. It all makes sense. And nice to know that I'm not supposed to be quite as hungry as I am now, 'cause I am REALLY hungry, and now I'm gonna go cook something and eat away my run.

I just want to say how much I absolutely agree with this. I was on antidepressants for some years, and it took me a long time to agree to it. But with the medication I got enough energy so I could finally start working with a therapist (or even get up in the mornings). Medications such as antidepressants get a bad rep, but…

I would love to join! I am 32, and have about 30-ish punds to lose.

Good to know it is pretty accurate. I thought it would be overestimating. I hear often that "you can't lose weight while marathon training", so it's nice to hear from others who actually have.

Yeah, point taken, it is too aggressive. I will certainly eat the cal back. It makes sense that I am hungry all the time. I want to do it the healthy way. And I am 5 feet

Good work!

Thanks! I will measure that up to my Garmin estimate.

The runger IS real! I guess I have just heard so many times that "you can't outrun a bad diet" and "diet is 80 % of your weightloss!" that I underestimated the need to eat it back  And I am so damn hungry. New plan is: I will eat my burn back, see how it turns out on the scale and how I feel on my runs over the next…

Thank you for advice! This is all very helpful. I will definitely try out more filling foods. Good point. I have a cold right now, but on most weeks I hit 40-50 km - I have just started using MFP, so I don't know the average. I burn about 500-900 cal a day for exercising at the moment, and then Garmin puts daily steps on…

I'm sorry to hear you are struggling right now. What an awful lot you are going through with the break up, surgery, holidays. I struggle with binging as well. For me, it's a circle of bad habits recurring when I'm stressed, shame, binging as a distraction from boredom or grief. My way of working through it is through…

Thanks! We all start somewhere. One of my favorite running memories is still the first time I ran a mile without stopping :-)

Thank you! I'm still trying to learn how it works.
