Hey, I'm Jess and I've been on MFP for about 5 years. I was at my goal weight prior and for the first three years (or so). Then menopause kicked in and I lost my mojo. To add to it, a new marriage, cross country move and a new puppy all within the last two years have packed on pounds. No regrets because it's all good. Butโฆ

I love my $15 air popper; it's one of the best gadgets I own. I've been known to travel with it on my road trip beach vacations. :D
-
I like almonds & apples together. Quest protein bars. Rice cakes (though I read the MFP article on them, lol) with peanut butter. Pre-made, air popped pop corn (kinda' carby but good and filling). Avocado toast (you can find low carb alternatives for the bread). Whisps Cheese Crisps have a bunch of protein for the portionโฆ

I'm so 2019. :D But I'm into avocado toast w/everything bagel seasoning, cocoa raspberry chia pudding and Greek yogurt with pistachios & honey right now. They're all just SO easy to throw together and taste great.

I like Sports Research's Collagen Peptides Powder, because it also blends well into cold drinks & smoothies and is completely flavorless: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00XQ2XGAA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

@kenyonhaff, love "You can't outrun a bad diet". Great post!

I really do eat better, all day, when I log & get at least 8grams of fiber in my first meal. Also, as delicious as those 2 sea salt caramels are, I enjoy my Greek yogurt w/honey & pistachios just as much...and it's WAY better for me. Plus, the latter makes for a cuter macro pie chart at the end of the day. :)

Cool. Why did you decide to leave this group and start another?

I'm the "before" picture right now, lol, so no inspiration but tons of sympathy. I'm in the same boat; I've gained 15lbs since APRIL and I'm not sure how much of it is menopause vs pandemic but something's gotta' give before it's my sanity. :)

Dec: *increase my average daily steps to 6k/day (I joined the MFP Step Challenge!) *increase my daily H20 intake to 64oz

@lorrainequiche59, @Beka3695, @BeIn2day, @RubyRed427, @lloydrt and all other members here: Good morning from the Pacific NW! The holidays can be tough but I enjoy it more without alcohol. Today's a good day to be sober!

@Bex953172, @littleblackskirt & @MrsHermit, thank you! I've been a member since 2017 but fell off during the pandemic. 15lbs later, lol, it's time to get back on the horse. :) JFT 12/1 1) Eat the meals I prepped I prepped for the week (love the choco-chia pudding w/raspberries!) 2) Do a 35 minute Future workout after workโฆ

I was on an overnight oatmeal kick for, like...2 years, haha. Time to mix it up. This is a new recipe for me. I've tried other chia puddings in the past and didn't really like them but this one is good. I'm eating these this week along with a whole pear. My puddings look like a crime scene with raspberry juice everywhere,โฆ

This community will help! I was pretty diligent about meal tracking until last November (2020) and kinda' just fell off. I gained 15lbs from April til now and just started focusing. This app totally works if you do the work of food/meal tracking. And I love card games too!
-
You can totally do it! I've been using this app for a few years now. I fell "off the wagon" last November and didn't notice many changes. But in April, I started a new job and stopped food/meal tracking. I gained a *bunch* of weight for my frame. I know I can get back into shape using the app, daily, again. Hang in thereโฆ

Paula, we're in the "sorta' same boat. ! I loved reading this post because we know what we need to do to get it back together. I'm also 51 and have used MFP for a while. It's a great app! I'm also periomenopausal so stuff that used to slide off is sticking around! I was doing really well, despite the pandemic, but some howโฆ

Hi All, I just found this group; hope you don't mind me crashing. I've read through the most recent 5 pages of posts but am bound to ask some silly questions. :) * I love the Hallmark Workout! So fun. * I had pasta for lunch and just logged it. It doesn't give me much room to sweets after dinner tonight so I pre-logged aโฆ
