• What most shocks me is the actual portion sizes. I mean, seriously I had no idea how much I was actually overeating. The food scale is my evil nemesis, but I use it religiously.
• Congratulations! This is wonderful news. As far as diet goes, remember that in your first trimester you won't really need any extra calories, at least not by the time you get to your first appointment. You will probably be seen by your doctor around week 8 - 12 of your pregnancy. Before your first visit, up your "goal" to…
• Never heard of it.

• I went from a pack a day smoker to quitting cold turkey... it was the same day I was diagnosed with cancer. No one ever thinks it will happen to them until it does.
• Open your eyes - disturbed (I don't remember all the words though so I'm just repeating a piece of it over and over again.)
• I'm at 1290 open diary. Be warned, I eat weird combinations of food. 5'0" Everyone can add me
• I have a lot of old games on my computer too. I play Chrono Trigger - my all time favorite game ever created - and Zelda a lot for my kids. They love to watch the storylines.
• I asked a guy at a gaming store where I could find a (used) super nintendo... he asked me what I was talking about. I have never felt so old in my life. Most of my students know what a super nintendo is, and a N64, but none of them knew that what a regular Nintendo was.
• Carbonated water isn't H2CO3. That is the carbonic acid inside the water. Its water + carbonic acid, not pure carbonic acid. Also H2CO3 is highly volatile and immediately reacts to... H2O + CO2. Water and carbonic dioxide. The bubbles that rise after you open the bottle.
I am just a science teacher, but I don't do…
• I'm sure it was the caffeine. I thought I wrote that but I was chasing after two sick kids at the time of writing it. I completely regret posting that reply, but I didn't review it until hours later. I usually know better. *Face palm*
• I used to be. I am 5 feet tall and weighed somewhere around 300 pounds at one time. Patience and persistance will get you to your goal! Good luck!
•
The two main ingredients in soda are carbonated water (H2CO3 known as carbonic acid), and high fructose corn syrup which is made by refining the sugar that naturally occurs from corn with added enzymes. Perhaps it's mental but when I drink more soda than…
• It all depends on what you're eating more so than when you're eating it.
• I'm quitting now, just posting how many days without soda was keeping me accountable, until Pepsi Black Ice came on sale and I bought some. Soda isn't the devil, but I feel that I drink less water when I have my sodas. So tomorrow I'm counting down and my goal is to make it Saturday - Saturday without any soda.
• Pass day 1 Calories: no, over by 27. Exercise: no, I have a bakers cyst behind my left knee. It really had me down and in pain. Tracked: Yup.
• Honestly, I look at and daydream about a lot of these fad diets because they take away so much of the question "what should I eat?" and promise fast and easy results. It's so temptin, but not sustainable.
• Heard of it. I personally am against diets with names or time limits. What happens on day 31? You know what I mean? I think it is best to eat healthy foods before junk, count calories and be active. Something you can do forever, not just to lose the weight.
• I agree with everyone else. Just clean up your diet and learn actual serving sizes. The amount in true serving sizes of foods was a real shocker to me!
• Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yup. Walked. I was on my feet all day though, cooking and heavy cleaning/organizing too. Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Unbelievably yes! I assumed I was way over since I felt so full. Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes!
• Basically, I like the taste. Just like the point of drinking soda, or tea, or juice. If you are old enough to legally drink in most countries, you're probably a legal adult and should be able to handle peer preassure enough to say "no thanks" if you're not in the mood/don't like to drink.
• Hey, I'm 32, from Guatemala.
• Exercise, yes, walking Calories, yes Tracked, yes
• There is none of that in my country, only AA. I'm curious though, what are the steps?
• This is an old trick that girls with eating disorders have always used. I agree to brush your teeth right after you eat so you don't continue to eat, but brushing before isn't a good idea. Mouthwash is another thing you should either do after eating, or preventing yourself from giving into a craving.
• Same here. I like New Year's cliches though
• Oops, forgot to add my goal is 1200 calories
• 5ft tall with shoes on. I need to lose 50 pounds.
• Exercised Yes Calories Yes Tracked Yes Exercised: Yes, agonizingly slow walk with the kids. And another 20 minute walk looking for my lost friend.
• This is exactly what I was looking for! Yay!
