I ruptured my Achilles 2 yrs ago that I'm still dealing with. I couldn't image what you are going thru w/ a torn knee also. I know its rough physically and mentally. I gained back 50 of the 65lbs I lost years ago and working on losing it again. Wishing you a speedy recovery

I recently purchased a Concept2 rower, used but in excellent condition. I was going to buy a cheap 1 from Amazon but glad I didn't. This is a tank and parts are available if needed from the company.

This was 6 years ago. About 5 months. No exercise for the 1st 3 months (-50lbs), just watched my calorie intake. The last 15lbs I was doing DDP and took almost 2 months to lose. I maintained for over 4 yrs until I had a major injury and gained a bunch but not all of it back. I'm still rehabing my injury but not trying toโฆ

I joined a couple Facebooks groups and 1 had a sign up for a beginners workout from Cassi. I had been doing that this weekend. I also downloaded a few Dark Horse workouts. I did a 20 min DH workout the last couple nights and really liked it. I did notice, even though I was following his pace, that my numbers we quiteโฆ

I got my Concept2 rower this weekend. I'm hoping to enjoy it as much as you all do. I had an injury last year that prevents me from using an elliptical or bike so thought this would work. So far it hasn't bothered me but I've only gone though the basics.

When I need to lose weigh I stop working out and just focus on a calorie deficit

That's almost a mirror image of me. But I started in '15 was good for 3 years or so and I tore my Achilles about 2 years ago. Been struggling ever since. I'm down around 15lbs in the last 6 weeks and have 40 to go but feeling the commitment of the last 6 weeks slipping away

After 5 weeks, I'm down 2 belt holes and 1 pants size

Just turned 55 and the last 2 years were the toughest yet. I was able to lose 65lbs 6 years ago and kept it off until 2 years ago.

Congrats! Great job

I quit 18 years ago. I also had a serious back injury 2 months later and packed on a bunch of weight. Still haven't smoked but can't keep the weight off

You can create a custom exercise. I use a Fitbit and total calories burned for the workout to create a custom under cardio

Eat less and move more

I have a hard time losing weight when working out. In the past I would stick to dieting to lose what I need and then incorporate exercise. I'm going thru that at the moment. I'm thinking of going back to the diet and then start back w/ my workouts after I lose weight

That's my goal too. I'm down 10lbs since Jan 1st and only 30 more to go

We did v1advanced DVD's a few years ago. I had to quit because it bothers my shoulders/rotator cuff. I try every so often and have the same should issues

Good luck! Let us know how it goes for you. For me I lost a bunch when 1st started but couldn't stay on it very long.
