yes and no. for example, i am chronically ill and because of this, my insurance will now go through the roof. For something that is entirely out of my control. Now yes, taking health insurance through work is a choice, but do you really have much of a choice when your only other option is to be covered through the state?…

this to me goes along the same lines of them wanting to charge more/make it possible for health insurance companies to turn away people who are chronically ill. I gained a lot of weight because of my illness, so this means that because of something that is entirely out of my control, i am being punished? i realize that you…

Nice to see different opinions! Yeah it definitely doesn’t bother me doing it, it just sucks when the people that give you crap about it are your family members. I mean, I get it. My parents ate what was made for them or didn’t eat. I grew up the same way, and I’m not necessarily sure when I have kids I’ll be much…

This made me laugh so hard! Totally sounds like something my dad would’ve said hahaha

thanks guys! it's just always something that has bugged me i guess. we have been together for almost two years, lived together for almost a year.it's just always what i have done. plus, i am home from work/gym by 6pm usually. i do not want to wait until 11pm to eat dinner lol and i definitely try to not eat carbs, so that…

sad. just really sad.

i have one every morning for breakfast. lately ive just been using protien powder(quest vanilla is the best), pb2(choc or regular), and almond milk. if i am not lazy ill do the same, but add in some type of fruit and chia seeds for fiber and such. with the first option, 205 cals and im good until lunch, with the 2nd its…

because you get comfortable with that person, so subconsciously you let yourself slip a little here and there, or maybe you don't keep up with yourself as much as you did single, whatever the case is. IMO, you should try to keep yourself at your best no matter what, because again, if your at your best single and then you…

Right-but you also said you stopped logging and keeping track of everything. Every time someone says they gained the weight back it was because they weren’t eating right, or not eating enough. Everyone thinks you can take it and just not eat, and that’s not how it works. I am on the max dose(37.5mg). It may stop working,…

I have been on it for about 2 weeks now. I feel completely fine. no jitters, no heart racing, just a major difference in not feeling as hungry all of the time, and i eat normally. I feel NORMAL. i have a few autoimmune issues so i am very low functioning. no energy, exhausted all the time. so it's really nice to feel…

Ahhh this is awesome!! You guys made me laugh. It’s just such a pain in the butt. I should also clarify that I know it’s also petty to complain about it, but it drives me crazy. And I can’t talk to anyone else about it because all of my “work friends” are her friends too. So it jut goes around in a circle. I like my job…

yes, that has happened because it was causing some issues with actual work. i was set to train her and two other people on my team to learn a new system and process i had been testing. she actually refused to sit with me and learn the new process/reporting procedure. obviously my boss got angry and wanted to know what was…

because no one is allowed to rant? it's incredibly frustrating because i have been dealing with it for a year.

i use quest protein powder as a base, and then add whatever in to help make it more of a meal "replacement"(fruits, veggies, chia seeds, etc) usually ends up being around 260-275 depending on what i do or don't add. i do this because it's an easy way for me to get more protein in and not eat as many carbs, plus it is super…

i do really think it depends on your relationship and your communication with one another. I was with my ex for almost 5 years, and in total he gained probably about 80 pounds. i never said a thing, because he exercised and kept himself together. however, in dec 2015-feb 2016 i gained a whopping 50 pounds, and NO ONE could…

no medical reason, but i have noticed how much i dont feel well when i eat more. i feel like what i average is alright for me. i am not trying to starve myself by any means at all, believe me.
-
i dont personally put in any data for my exercise. i let the fitbit track all of it, which i fully understand translates to it saying i have burned more than i actually do. i am not naive in that at all. also, i weigh/measure/log everything that goes into my mouth, so i dont really think im underestimating my food intake.…
-
i weigh/measure everything out. i do understand that the exercise calories are off. id believe more that they are probably half of what they are, sometimes less depending on the day. my fitbit has the HR monitor, so i also am aware of the fact that it does play a factor in how many calories you burn. when i workout, which…
-
yes, i have the fitbit charge 2. and i do definitely think that for me personally it does play a role, because i didnt really feel better until i cut down a little. i have been tracking for about 8 months before actually using MFP, so i was writing everything down. i just wanted a change/thought it might be a better way to…
-
i don't generally watch the fitbit app only because i use MFP to track my food, but this week so far is averaging 1331 calories/daily, and last week was averaging 1531(i changed out some of the foods i was eating, not eating as many carbs so it dropped my average calories this week)
-
in my initial post i explained that that was my total "exercise" calories for the whole day. MFP estimated that based off of my total steps that day, 6576 steps, which those "steps" also include my workout that i did that day. I do not put my exercise into MFP because the fitbit tracks that. i do not believe that the 909…
-
so my fitbit for that day had me at a total of 6576 steps for that day, which is including my workout for that day. also for that day, its telling me i burned a total of 3253 cals. now, the calorie adjustment for my "exercise" on MFP for that day says 909. I am not under the impression what so ever that estimate is…

my official diagnosis was undifferentiated connective tissue disease, which is a whole bunch of symptoms from different illnesses like RA, lupus, fibro, etc. this came along with the diagnosis of hashi's after seeing a rhumetologist because my PCP just originally thought i had lupus. so basically they dont exactly know…

i am on 2000iu of vitamin d because of the arthritis(my official diagnosis was undifferentiated connective tissue disease, which is a whole bunch of symptoms from different illnesses like RA, lupus, fibro, etc) and i also take selenium as well as a multivit that has iron in it as well.

okay, so i should probably be more clear. i track, log and weigh EVERYTHING i put in my mouth. I also work out atleast 3 times a week if not more, it just purely depends on the energy i have for that day. according to MFP, to lose 1 pound a week i need to consume 1650 calories, which i get close to or meet, and when i do…
