I'm trying to find out who the woman he's referring to in the video at 19:30 is it Anne Lukes? Am I hearing that name correctly? I'm trying to find her online but no luck. Watch, you'll probably learn stuff. https://youtu.be/emjl1Uui3Yw[/quote]

For myself- I am 5'6" and 155 my goal is 135. I do weigh my foods and track but quit using MFP to do so and switched to another app that gives my macros and net carbs, without having to be a premium member. ... I was sick for a few weeks and that really needed me up because I couldn't work out but I still ate right.…

I'm in the same boat - going on 2 months now. Lost about 20lbs then stalled out completely. 😕 wish I knew what to do.

That must have been torture! How did you break it? I've been on a plateau going on 2 months now. I dropped 20lbs since August and then hit a wall. It's very frustrating.

I have been very strict with what I eat and weighing, measuring and logging accurately every single meal and I'm in the same boat. I am eating roughly 1200 Cal/day. I lost 10lbs and then stopped. I do some activity almost every day. Weather it be swimming or cardio and weights etc. I have been fluctuating around 3-4 lbs…

I read a few MFP blog posts and found some useful info. Hope this helps. Copied below. The Institute of Medicine (IOM) suggests that fat makes up 20–35% of total calories, but you can certainly eat more or less depending on your goals. The MyFitnessPal app automatically allots 30% of calories to fat — of course, you can…

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and helping me figure out how to log my measurements. I returned the scale I bought online and weighed myself on an accurate beam scale. Then I went to bed bath and beyond and found one that was very accurate and only $20. Name brand is called Thinner and it weighs the same on my floors :)

I know what you mean. I have been using the scanner function.

That's what I've been doing but I've found it difficult to eat out ( with the exception of maybe a salad. ) After checking official nutritional menus - there's way too much sodium

Cool I found it in the app. I was tapping wieght symbol and it wasn't changing - but then found the correct wieght/ measurement check in under progress in the app! Thanks

I think MFP suggesting you eat back those Cal bc you told it you wanted to lose x lb per week and therefore it's making you eat those back bc if not you'll lose more than your goal. I do not eat mine back bc I would not mind losing more.

I just started buying Core Power shakes. I've been eating a very strict diet with lean meats in every meal. I still sometimes find it difficult to get all the protien I need for my macros. So I'll opt for a shake at the end of the day if needed to meet those macro goals. They are delicious!

Thanks - I was searching for " recipe cookbooks" so missed this thread!

Thanks. After doing the macro calculations, my fat % outweighs my carb % - is that effective in losing weight? I mainly get my carbs from veggies - broccoli, cabbage etc.

Hi I have a question. my scale calculated a percentage for my muscle mass... Do I use that as my LBM bc it says it's only 30% which would be equal to 50g of protein for macros. It calculated my BF as a percentage and If I subtract my BF percentage from my total weight (& and use the 1g rule) I would get 121g for the…

Thanks but I'm a little confused... I do want to figure this out and get an accurate macro goal... I got a new scale and it calculated a percentage for my muscle mass. Should I use that as my LBM bc it says it's only 30% which would be equal to 50g of protein for macros. If I subtract my BF percentage from my total weight…

Very informative. I just ordered a digital scale to figure out my BMI. Thanks!

I have cut back on drinking... Last weekend I purchased coconut rumhaven. It's made with coconut water and cane sugar at 50 cal/oz . I used bottle water as a mixer and it was amazing. Not too sugary.
