Hi All Thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. I'm Wendie, I'm 60 next year, I have two grown up sons who live away, two idiot dogs and a long term partner who is a fantastic cook and insists on cooking weekends (and whenever he feels like taking over on weekdays) but can't grasp portion size or healthy options. Oh…

I like crackerbread with a scrape of butter & salad. It makes up for not eating bread.

He can 'share meal' from your diary, so the stats will be the same. :)

My lunch for work consists of raw spinach, celery, baby plum tomatoes, cucumber, sweet peppers, balsamic vinegar & whatever protein I have in the fridge such as chicken, prawns, cheese etc.

I'm looking to join an active group for motivation, support, meal ideas etc. I'm 54 & struggling to keep my motivation up.

The bulk of my exercise is rushing round at work & walking my dogs. I've started running with the dogs individually but can't run far yet. I bought a running belt & lead but the dogs are struggling to get used to it - they think it's fun to stop dead mid run or run round my feet to trip me up lol I do go to the gym &…

Logging has been good for me too. I used to eat mindlessly without much thought to the foods value. Now I am much more mindful of my food's calories & nutritional content :)

I've never really worried too much about macros. I figure the most important thing is to first shift the weight. I eat reasonably healthily & will work more on the correct balance when I get nearer my target.

Hi everyone. I'm Wendie, 53 years old, 5' & 9 months into this weight loss journey. I had slowly put on the lbs over the years but really piled them on last year after my OH's heart attack - we pretty much just sat & ate for 3 months while he recovered (it was caused by smoking, his weight wasn't a factor). When he went…

Hi I'm looking for friends too. Want to add me so we can support each other?

I'm addicted I have sugar in my coffee. I like it, not planning on giving it up, not sorry lol I tried cutting it back but it ruined the coffee so I settle for only having fewer mugs a day. A little indulgence each day keeps me on track. I still have a way to go & don't want to be constantly miserable 'penny pinching'…

January goals - lose the Xmas weight & join a gym/leisure centre. Achieved both. February goals go swimming at least once a week & gym at least once a week.

I'm 150lbs & only 5'. I'm down 40lbs & will be happy if I get down another 15lbs although I know I should go lower but I like a little padding lol

My goal is 1200 a day because MFP tells me that's what I need to eat to lose. NHS actually recommends not less than 1400 a day for women on weight loss regimes but I don't lose at that intake.

You missed my point, it was that when you keep all things equal, keto is no more effective for long term weight loss. Metabolic ward studies are one of the few ways to absolutely prove the relative effectiveness of different nutrition styles, I wasn't suggesting anyone actually try to lose weight that way. If keto works to…

Keto is just another means to keep in calorific deficit. This has been proved by metabolic ward studies where everything is completely monitored including all calories, sleep & exercise. They show that there is no long term difference between keto & any other calorie deficit system regards weight loss. People do usually…

Thank you. I'm having great fun playing with the features. Calorie counting might not be as arduous as I thought!
