  • Just a little progress photo.
  • My results in 1 year. I actually didn’t start weight training until dec 2019 but the first pic Is from from June 2019. I was running 30-40km a week and was down to 120 by Dec 2019. I realized I couldn’t keep that up long term. I’ve gained 10lb since starting weight training but I think my body comp looks better and I’ve…
  • I’ve been working from home since the pandemic. Its hard to budget food when it’s always available. I found the adjustment a bit stressful at first but I’ve settled in now. I’m thankful we have our health and I’m still able to work, many people aren’t as fortunate.
  • Thanks for the input! I wasn’t really planning on “bulking” per se I wanted to make sure I was eating enough to see some result so I let myself eat more calories. Changes to my work routine haven’t helped either. I’ve thought about it and I think I can fairly easily shed 5lb at a reasonable rate by tightening up my diet.…
  • My goals I guess are aesthetic, build some muscle tone and figure. I’m 5’6 135lb when I started my weight training I was 124lb and focused on cardio. I still run a few times a week but def not as much. I could go either way really. I wouldn’t be happy to gain any more weight but I’m ok where I’m at If I see results...
  • I’ve been wanting to do the les mills videos. My gym said they’re offering the free ones since they’re closed but all I can find are like 5-6 free ones on their site... can someone provide the link or explain how to access these? I did the 30 min HITT video it was ok. Some variety when working out from home is a nice…
  • One year difference, same weight. Started my weight loss journey to lose weight after having a baby. I weighed 172 December 2018 I only did cardio and by December 2019 was 125lb. I decided to start lifting weights in dec and am loving the results so far! I’ve gained back 10lb but I think my body looks better, as long as I…
  • I am going to avoid it for now until we have a better idea of how this is going to play out in my area over the next week or two I suppose. I’m predicting more cases to start popping up. I have some weights at home and run outside I guess... it does suck but I also have little kids under 5 so I don’t want to bring…
  • Lately I’ve been doing 2 eggs and an English muffin with some butter. I find this to keep me full until lunch. I tried oatmeal as it’s quite low cal high volume but it didn’t fill me as well.
  • Just ordered a two piece bathing suit!! Excited to see what it looks like when it arrives. So glad the high waist is the style :).
  • Not related to your question but your lucky your toddler doesn’t want out of the stroller. I’d love to do long walks with kiddos but I know 2.5 yr will eventually want out.
  • I also have powder on hand that I will use on occasion when I’m busy and need something quick for breakfast usually. I was trying it as a meal replacement for breakfast every morning but simply got bored with it and still wanted food after. I also agree that it isn’t sustainable and eventually you will have to learn how to…

  • I lost hair post partum and some re grew. I would say it took about a year to fully grow back in. I’m currently going through this again after my second baby :(. Lost a bunch and I can see frizzy re growth around my hair line on my face, oh the joy.

  • I would do what others have suggested and build it by item or I pick the one with the reasonably highest calories from the database and go with it. At least that will keep me in check for the rest of the day.
  • I can’t comment if Mirena is causing you to gain weight but there are a number of other iud’s available that you could possibly try? Perhaps you can talk to your doctor to see if there’s other options for your situation if you feel that it is the reason your gaining weight.
  • I’m in the same boat, I’m where I’d like to be weight wise but have a flabby “mommy tummy” from two pregnancies. Maybe I’m wrong to say but just how it is. I choose to accept it :).
  • Air popped popcorn is alright or I’ve been experimenting with low calorie frozen desserts ie cool way or so soya frozen dessert but not very filling if your actually hungry. I also find sparkling water helps.
  • Good for you! I’ve had two babies and currently breastfeeding my 6 month old daughter. I didn’t mind my diet and excersise until I had my daughter and was up 30lb from pre pregnancy weight at 3 months post partum. I decided I’d had enough of feeling big and wanted to get healthy. I was cutting calories when I first started…
  • I’ve been trying this and I find it tasty but very calorie dense and not that filling, too bad because it’s not bad.
  • I’ve had two babies myself and my advise to you is don’t worry about that at all yet. Give your body at least 6-8 weeks to recover/heal from delivery. After that time I’d start watching my diet/exercise etc. I started with my LO about 3 months pp. cut yourself some slack mama you’ll get there.
  • I’m currently down 5lb from what I was before giving birth to my second baby but 5lb over what I was before having my 1st. My goal is to loose the last 5lb to get to where I was pre babies then go from there. I’m also nursing my baby still. I’m using the mfp for tracking my calories and cutting them by only a couple…
  • That’s what I mean... it’s hard to believe but that’s the read out the machine is telling me and I find it hard to believe because I’m exerting myself but not like crazy.
  • I have a hard time with this as well. I don’t weigh everything but I like to give it a fair estimate and so far that’s been working for my weight loss. We eat a lot of home cooked meals and it’s hard to estimate the calories in certain things.
  • Maybe way off here because I’m not experienced in this what so ever but I’ve heard of people using baby food pouches...
  • I also felt the way about the gym, I think it’s fairly normal. I would just start and do the treadmill a few weeks and scope it out a bit. You’ll start to get more confident and realize that people are just doing their own thing. Watch videos on YouTube on how to use some of the other machines you see there and give them a…
  • Just jogged for 30 minutes straight!! 2 months ago I wouldn’t have believed I could do that in. Now to improve speed I want to go from 4.7mph to 5mph pace:
  • I’m off work now because of having a baby but when I go back I honestly don’t know when I’ll have time to go to the gym other than after 7:30/8 o’clock when the kids are in bed. I’d have to wake up at like 4am to go before work and I know that won’t happen.
  • ^^ that 100%. Your son doesn’t care if your pale or have wide hips or cellulite. Do it for him and not anyone else. Just try to push the thoughts out of your mind because that’s not what’s important. I also go swimming with my son weekly and have for a few years now. I’m not totally happy with my body. I have cellulite on…
  • I had a baby 5 months ago and ate my fair share of junk during my pregnancy and would joke about it at work. I haven’t seen my co-workers since I started trying to loose weight at the beginning of Dec so when I see them next I’d like to have lost the weight and maybe have some nice tone from going to the gym. I also want…
  • Yeah 2 coffees is nothing some days I have 3-4 and I use 2% milk as that’s what we buy for our kids to drink. I’m still loosing weight and I really enjoy it so I don’t mind one bit.
