  • Ended up hitting maintenance - tomorrow's another day.
  • I think it is a great suggestion, and I agree that having maintenance days is not dramatic. But I already did that this weekend - I eat at deficit through the week and at maintenance through the weekend, it's more enjoyable for me. So if I start eating at maintenance during the week too, I can kiss my fat loss goal…
  • How much time to you have every day to work out? What types of workout do you prefer (strength, cardio, dance, yoga, etc.) What type of trainer do you prefer in terms of personality? What equipment do you have? All programs will work as long as you create a calorie deficit. Are you just going to log your food here or are…
  • I never did the original 21DF so I don't know what that pilates looks like... But yes, the extreme pilates is a different challenge. I've come to love it though. You have to start with lighter bands, just to provide a bit of resistance and focus on your core while doing the moves. I have an injured shoulder from a cycling…
  • I'm gluten free and dairy free for my health - I also eat minimal meat (when I'm a guest at someone's house and that's what they cooked). Here are typical meals: Breakfasts: Oats Smoothie bowl Protein pancakes Lunch: Typically dinner leftovers... Lentil Soup Big salad bowl Dinner: All types of fun bowls - sushi bowl,…
  • Why do you want to stop drinking it? Is the "vegan" label important to you?
  • If you just started working out, it is possible your body is retaining water - usually takes a few weeks before this sorts itself out. Google "exercise and water retention" for to find articles that will give you an explanation better than I could. Weight loss can be fast at the beginning and slow down after a bit - it's…
  • This would mean you're not in a consistent deficit. Make sure you're tracking right and creating the deficit you need.
  • If you've lost weight already and starting to plateau, first check if you need to recalculate your calorie intake to create the deficit you need to keep losing. As far as exercise go, as others mentioned check for diastasis recti, and start a routine you enjoy. How long do you have to workout, how many times per week, are…
  • Mind your form. Tried it and had to stop at 5 weeks because my knees were killing me. Did it again a few years later, after being a more experienced exerciser and knowledgeable about form, and went through it with no pain at all. And don't hesitate do do 2 days on - 1 day off at first. The schedule has you do it 6 times a…

  • Yeah I think that would work better - Right now I seem to play between 55 and 90 grams per day... How do you make it to 100g?
  • I care about both weight and inches, but inches matter more. I am athletic, already muscular enough to my taste, but have fat covering my muscle and want to get rid of that - without losing too much muscle in the process (a little would be fine though).
  • Yup, they are definitely not cheap! I do use protein powder because I like it and it's convenient, but it has its limitations..
  • Depends on how you feel. For me, doesn't work because I feel miserable on days of fasting; I eat like there's no tomorrow on days that I can eat because I'm so ravenous, etc. It also disturbed my sleeping patterns and my hormones were out of whack, I started having acne again! Any diet works if you are successful at…
  • Maybe that's what it is.. my pots are thick and on the heavy side and my popcorn never burns. I have a gas burning stove and I go medium-high
  • I cook it on the stove too, and I actually don't put any oil and it works just as well.
  • I think it's a great place to start. Makes you flexible, increases strength but in a gentle way. After a whole 60 days it does get repetitive and I eventually got bored with it; I wouldn't use it as a standalone again, but I always go back to it if I'm injured or after being ill or if I feel like I've neglected flexibility.
  • OP, I have no advice for you but just wanted to tell you that you are not alone. I feel really alone reading everything on the internet because I *never* like the results I get with heavy lifting and surely I can't be the only woman feeling this way.
