  • I was always told if your thyroid is under control, it shouldn't impact your weight loss or gain. Been hypo for about twenty years now and been on Synthroid and Armour and currently on Levo.
  • Hi! Motivation is part vanity (I want to look good and wear fun, cute clothes) and part paranoia (getting older so need to get in as good shape as possible). New to all this and would love some friends to have fun with and get fit with! I'm 48YO, married with two (mostly) grown kids, love my dog, and am a CPA who is busy…
  • I'm figuring I'm there. I'm at the top of my goal weight range and planning to lose another three pounds over the next three months while my work schedule is hell. It took me a year to lose about 30 pounds, but I did it on MY terms which included daily chocolate and workouts I enjoy. Current weight is 134.6....goal range…
  • Deciding to pop into this thread. Not sure I'm "officially" maintaining but I'm pretty much there. My ideal weight range is 130-135. I've been hovering at 135-137 for November and December....I'm now down to 134.8 so I'm within my maintenance range, but ideally I'd like to get the scale down to 133. I just want to always…
  • Always looking for GF friends here!! Diagnosed NCGS about 2 years ago and amazed at how much better I feel after going totally GF!! Thankful to have a super supportive husband who makes up for the skeptics in my life. Feel free to friend me!
  • Wow...awesome advice from smolmaus! Honestly...go with whatever works for you. TODAY my motivation to go to the gym is that I want pizza on Sunday during the Saints game. Pizza works well to motivate me right now, and as long as I'm tracking honestly and still eating well and losing weight, I'll take whatever motivation I…
  • Have you tried Accutane? I had acne (not awful, but bad enough to affect me) my whole life and did Accutane in my early forties and it's AMAZING!
  • Ate 1700, have 500 left which are mostly from my Fitbit adjustment as my base is 1200 calories.
  • Totally not under eating. Plus I indulged yesterday when we went out for my husband's birthday dinner, so today has been a hard focus on veggies and lean protein.
  • I don't....well, not for the right reasons. I want them because even though I'm not hungry, it would taste good to blow them on popcorn and chocolate!
  • New to MFP after losing 30 pounds tracking on Fitbit. Not a fan of their tracking or community, so popping in here. I'm at the top of my goal range (130-135) and need friends to do this with. I'm a 48YO CPA with a husband and two kids (19&17), I love my dog and reading, and trying to find new ways to love food and…
  • It's worked great for my 17YO son. He eats only from noon to 8PM and tries to stick to healthy foods. He's down about 30 pounds and isn't having a hard time with it.
  • Why do you find the calorie burn on Fitbit better to follow? What's different?
  • Also consider cross contamination....if someone dipped a knife in the mayo container, spread the mayo on bread, then put that same knife back in the mayo jar, odds are some bread crumbs got in the mayo. That enough to get me sick.
  • I'm confused...you log all foods the same way whether or not they contain gluten...
