That every day is a new day, with new opportunities and a wonderful chance to start fresh and try it again. ;)

What a great idea and wonderful way of giving back to the community 😊💫

I find that really deep breathing helps. Stopping yourself in the moment and just focusing on deep breathing - it’s amazing how often I find that I’m actually holding my breath or taking very rapid breaths and then this mindfulness and breathing helps a lot.

I’m available 😊. Does 46 still count? 💭

I see that in a more positive light - you're more protective of yourself, as you so rightly deserve to be! All strength to you as you await your results. I'm sure that you'll love the weights and love the results too - it can be quite exhilarating and even more empowering!
-
Welcome to the journey - it's one hang of a ride and worth everything that you put in! So wonderful that you are already feeling the increased energy and self-confidence!
-
Not vain at all - you deserve to celebrate your success! Well done, that's brilliant! I hear you about those articles that promise the world in a short space of time and couldn't agree with you more about patience!
-
The more that I think about this, the more character improvements I become aware of - I hope that you do too! I have become a more tolerant and kinder person - I became kinder to myself and knowing how much better this makes me feel has helped me to practice greater tolerance and kindness to others too.

Great about your better mindset, Eileen! It really takes a lot of courage and self-determination when others don't understand as you've said.
-
Very thought-provoking - thanks Sand_Tiger - I agree, that although the journey is certainly a test of patience, these skills gained wouldn't have come about if the process was a quick-fix. I hear you too about being a generally happier person!

I'd be grateful for any technical assistance in more adequately responding to posts...

Thank you all for your posts - so inspirational! I love the improved mood - I can relate, I think that I'm also generally more pleasant to be around. Empathy too - for sure, I have a greater compassion for others in general.

Walking 10,000 steps before breakfast 🏃🏼♀️. This put me in such a positive mind space and surprisingly I had heaps of energy all day long. I felt invincible and even now at bedtime still have energy for more. Bring it on 😄

Having snacks ready and on the kitchen counter with me, while I was preparing barbeque snacks and side dishes for my family. I enjoyed my snacks, managed to stay under my calorie allowance and still got to enjoy the special occasion with my family - I didn’t even have the smallest nibble of the freshest metre long French…

Brilliant insight, courage and progress!! 💭🌟💫. You’ve got this!! 👍🏻😃

FatLard200 - I would say embrace the weights 😊. I don’t belong to a gym and have only ever used handheld weights in the comfort of my own home. It has made such a difference to me - physically and mentally - the strength that I have gained is immeasurable and it feels great knowing that I can do things and lift things nice…

Thank you for a thought-provoking thread! When I first started this journey, I thought that it was selfish to take time for myself to focus on exercise and well-being and was very self-conscious about monitoring my eating and what others would think. But now I know that exercise and self-care has nothing to do with vanity…

Hello lovely friends :) I apologise for my relative absence this month - I might have been absent from this page a lot, but certainly hard at work on my February goal and following the great goals that you have all been accomplishing. This month has been a real challenge - I'm really pleased with the goal that I set for…

Hello lovely friends - and how well you are tracking on your journeys. It's a pleasure reading all about them. @nebslp all strength to you as you work through those feelings of anxiety and just "let it go"! I can really relate to this kind of a journey, with the journey that I am on this month. It was very tough going for…

Thank you lovely friends for your kind words and responses. (Apologies that I'm still learning to navigate this app and am not entirely sure how to respond to each of your posts as you do...) This first week and especially the weekend was a real challenge to me - I feel emotionally spent. You asked where the negativity is…

Hello friends. 👋🏻 February’s habit is vastly different to my previous habit. My focus for February is positivity. And working at not letting other people bring me down or detract from my positivity. I will work at being mindful of emotions and words and not getting pulled into negative talk. I will need to work at giving…

I'm thrilled to share with you that today marks 5 weeks that I've completed of my new habit. You asked how I was feeling - a lot more in control, more mindful of my snacking and more motivated than ever before to continue with positive changes. It has been a pleasure sharing in your journeys with you too over the course of…

This is my fourth full week of having maintained my new habit, with success. Last stretch to make it a full five weeks and hopefully solidify this habit even more. I wish you all great success with the last stretch of January too.

Hi everyone and a warm welcome to our new members :) I'm a little late in posting this, nonetheless I am pleased to report that I successfully completed my third full week of no cereal! (Nor chocolate or lollies) I am pleased to say too that I feel that week 3 was a little easier than week 2. Here is my elation for week 3:…

Thank you, 77les, for your encouragement. I agree with you. Sometimes breaking old habits is more challenging than creating new ones. I’m really hoping that it will become something that I eventually won’t even think about, as there have been some moments of serious contemplation 🙃

It's so great to see how well you are all doing and the individual progress that you are making. This image below is for each of you, as much as it is a "fist pump" for me :) I have completed a full two weeks now without any cereal, chocolates or lollies. There were a few tempting moments with the cereal these past few…

Hi everyone, and thanks for all the welcomes and encouragement. I have already continued on my original goal of avoiding all chocolate and lollies/sweets and this January I will add to this and avoid all breakfast cereals. The small actions that I'll be taking to accomplish this goal is to remember my previous success of…
