I'm not sure 5-10 minutes would amount to much calorie burn? 😂😎

I finally fit into my UA hoodie without looking like the Michelin Man. I wore it for the 1st time on my 5 mile walk today, not my usual loose fitting t-shirts or hoodies. All the walking and push-ups are paying off and I'm ready to get back into weight training too.

I agree it is probably best to get probiotics and fibers through foods; but taking one teaspoon of Metamucil daily along with food fiber and a pill form of probiotics, cured me of chronic constipation. Of course, drink lots of water daily and exercise to get things moving through your system.

my blood pressure went from the 134/84 in March to 110/75 today.

I agree with foot pain, knee pain being awful...I would add tooth/nerve pain is some of the worst pain. Plus the cost to extract and put in implants @ $5K a tooth.

From the Midwest, grew up in the 60s/70s My Mom was the best cook in the world as far as I was concerned. If she made TOAST , it was the best toast ever! We didn't have much money growing up but we always had full bellies. She would improv most meals to make it go the furthest. Lots of casseroles. Some of my favorites…

I averaged 15 minute miles on my daily walk today. my walks are 4.5-5 miles every day.... I don't know if I can keep up that pace, but I licked it today! I started my daily walks 1 1/2 months ago at average of 17-18 mins per mile.

See your Dr if you haven't already. I also suffer from severe anxiety which flips easily to depression if I let it take over my life. What has worked for me is Citalopram. Ask your Dr about it. It saved my life. As far as working out and eating healthy, you just have to force yourself to start again. Take a walk outside.…

are you serious? You'd basically have to eat around the clock to gain that much weight in 2 1/2 months, unless like yirara said, it's water weight. Make an appointment with a DR or go to the ER and get checked out.

thanks for suggestions. I changed the socks to extra padded ones and it seems to help a lot. I think a lot of the problem for me was going from couch potato with zero exercise back to full steam ahead workouts. My feet and ankles still ache but not nearly as bad as a few weeks ago. every day the pain is a little better and…

If you give up, you will most likely end up like me. Angry at yourself, depressed and VERY unhealthy! I lost 100 lbs a few years back.. by being lazy, making excuse after excuse and totally giving up, I gained 80 of it back. I went from my healthiest in my life to absolute S*** again. All that hard work down the drain.…

My arch is neutral. I'm giving some Dr S inserts a try today, see if that helps.

I have tried 2 different shoes. Sketcher's (new but broken in), New Balance (broken in...these are most comfortable of the two) I'm puttin some Dr S's inserts in the New Balance today to see if that helps. My other problem is tendon problem on top of right foot. that causes a lot of the pain too when walking long distance.…

congrats but be careful. that is way too fast to lose that much weight. (IMO) I lost 100 lbs a few years back in a years time and gained 75% of it back. Maintenance is the tough part, especially losing it that quick. don't want to be a downer, just a friendly warning.

Congrats on the 12 lbs lost....the cold hard truth on binge eating? Throw all the junk food out of your house and replace with healthy options. If you are tempted to binge, not having junk around is one way to solve the problem. Works for me. And like others said, you may need to up your overall calories per day to feel…

my "fat" jeans go on easily without unbuttoning or unzipping them with plenty of room to spare. almost ready to dig out old thinner me jeans. also, my "fat" t-shirts are extremely loose fitting. Glad I saved all my old clothes. feels good and is boost for my confidence and motivation to keep on truckin!

Hey Chris, The main thing is starting and being on this site. You now have a very valid reason to get healthy and in shape. Let that be your main focus and motivation. I know for a fact this can all be done. I lost 100 lbs from 2019-2020. I also stopped drinking cold turkey and have been sober for 5 years now...All my…

Hey all, just an update for myself and anyone else that cares to read ;) I'm down 23 lbs so far since Mar 5th with another 40 to go, then reevaluate. I'm taking it a little slower this time with daily calories anywhere from 1700-2100 depending on my hunger level. My activity and energy levels are increasing every day, and…

Lots of cardio, but most important is healthy diet and calorie counting. You can do all the situps in the world, but without watching your diet and calories, that belly will not "melt".

Good for you. Carbs are my fuel. and there is nothing wrong with them in a well balanced diet.

I add any set workout that is over and beyond my normal daily activities. Strictly count your calories and always measure your weight from week to week and adjust accordingly to coincide with your plan.

drop the weight and drop the girlfriend.

One day is not the end of the world. Log it and do better tomorrow and next day and so on. Don't beat yourself up about it and most of all, DON'T GIVE UP! I did for 2 years and I regret it, but I'm back on the horse doing it all over again.

My current NSV is being able to walk through the grocery store Chip, Cookie and Candy aisles without even glancing at them. Not only that, think of all the money saved from buying that overpriced junk! HA!

Tracking calories and macros absolutely works. I'm on round two after gaining a bunch back, but before my current situation, My A1C was 6.1 and I got very strict at calorie counting using MFP, and exercise. Make sure to get in some exercise even if it is just walking in place.... I lost somewhere around 75 lbs at my 6…
