Thank you for the encouragement. You're right, its not easy. I am hungry. I read your post and it gave me encouragement to keep up the fight. You've got 6 months under your belt and down 75 lbs! That is Fantastic. I have 2 months under my belt and I'm down 20 lbs. Nothing to sneeze at that is for sure. In 2 more months,…

I had a chicken breast and brussels sprouts for dinner yesterday and lunch today. I'm doing Keto and finally reached the sweet spot where hunger is at bay. I can eat two eggs for breakfast, meat and a veg for lunch and dinner and I'm all set. I

I don't buy those meals in a box because I know myself and it would go to waste. I would not be in the mood for whatever food is in the box so I would not cook it. It would spoil. I buy lots of different meat and fish and keep it frozen. When it is meal time I fix what I'm in the mood for.

Yah, but you have to cook what is in the meal kit.

That looks delicious, but I'd probably gain 3 or 4 lbs if I ate that.

Lunch: Leftover homemade chicken parmesan, chopped up and placed in a Carb-Smart 45 calorie wrap. A bit of cheese was added. This was delicious!

I absolutely must pre-log. I have to know exactly what I'm going to eat each day before it starts, If I don't I will eat most of my calories for breakfast and my day is lost. Tomorrow I will eat 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast, a chicken wrap for lunch, chicken and salad for dinner and a slice of cheese for snack. I'll be…

My dinner last night was so delicious and easy. Califlower with Shrimp casserol. Very very low cabs. 1/2 head of califlower chopped, place in a baking dish 4 celery stalks, chopped, add to the baking dish. Place 12 ounces of peeled shrimp on top of the califlower and celery. In a sauce pan, melt two TBS of butter. Add 1…

Aldi sells cookies that are identical to Girl Scout cookies, they are way less expensive and just as bad for you!!

I don't typically eat Subway because I'm trying to minimize carbs. I go for a Jimmy Johns Unwich, wraps the sandwich ingredients in lettuce so reduces the carbs considerably. Its good too.

Vegan eating is mostly cabs. I would be HUGE if I went vegan. I would think a very strict calorie intake and high energy output is the only way to lose weight no matter what sort of diet you choose. The only problem with vegan, you body has lots of energy source via the food you eat so it doesn't need to go after the fat…

I definitely can't do vegan or even vegetarian...to hard and boring Thank you very much for the advice. I try to only weigh myself once per month since I have a history with the bathroom scale, I hate it and it causes me discouragement. Right now I'm participating in a 10 week weight loss program at our local Y. We meet…

Ahhh, that is good point, I do stay away from "fattening food". I don't allow myself cheese, nuts or avocado because of the high calorie density. I will start to consider filling in the calorie deficit with those foods in order to bring my total daily calories above 1000. thank you for the insight.

Greetings all, I started on January 1, 2020 and have logged all month both food and exercise. I am looking to keep this going all the way to the finish line and beyond. Now: I'm 5'8" SW: 232 CW: 219 GW: 175. My challenge seems to be my age which is 61. I remember years ago my doctor telling me to "watch my weigh" because…

Fortunately I have no taste for girl scout cookies in the least. I find them kind of gross actually. Way over processed. Lucky me!

I enjoy meatless meals quite often although I not in any special group. One meal I especially enjoy us a version of pizza. I take a frozen black bean burger and top it with about 1/4 cup of tomato sauce, I saute zucchini, green pepper, onion in olive oil and put on top of the burger. I top it off with a bit of parmesan and…

Can you take a longer lunch break if you come in 1/2 hour early or 1/2 hour later? It seems that your problem is time....you need a bit more.

I butter a frying pan, salt and pepper the fish. I cook skin side down until it is crispy and releases. I flip the salmon and peel off the skin. I then add additional salt and pepper. I cook a couple more minutes than finish with the juice of one lemon and a tablespoon of capers. That is really delicious. If not that, then…

Hi! Your condition is awful! I've been in your shoes. For myself, my goal is to lose 65 lbs which I honestly believe will eliminate the heartburn. I take a product called Zegerid. It works best for me. Some of the medication affect my stomach to an extent that I believe it changes the chemistry. Zegerid doesn't seem to…

I'm in for cutting out alcohol. I've been thinking about the benefits vs negative aspects of consuming alcohol. Benefits: can't think of any. Negative Aspects: Expensive, hard on the liver, added unnecessary calories, too much and makes for a lousy nights sleep. Way too much and headache and crappy hangover. There are just…

Hello, I've been using MFP for about a week. I really like it because it is very easy to use. Tracking food and exercise is straightforward. I tried Noom for about a week, it just awakard to use although it is basically the same concept as MfP. Anyway....Greetings.
