  • I have clothes in my closet that I outgrew many years ago but refuse to get rid of because I love them so much. They are part of my future "NSV" hopes.
  • Congratulations!
  • Here's some perspective. I've lost (overall) 90 lbs. That's a newborn calf!
  • I 100% relate.
  • 18 bricks for me so far, too! 44 bricks by the time I'm done.
  • Thank you, @merph518 ! It's been insane so far, and as I've only been tracking the loss for just under a year, there's 20 pounds between that first photo and the second that I don't know when they went to (though I'm not complaining!). I hadn't seen a real difference yet, until my mother insisted I look at myself before…
  • The picture with the hat was taken on my wedding day. I believe that’s the heaviest I have ever been, at roughly 368 lbs. the selfie was taken just a few weeks ago, nearly 5 years to the day as the first, and nearly 90 pounds lighter. Same dress in both. I am using the dress as a Halloween costume and had to take it in…
  • I've noticed lately this odd bump on both sides of my body...couldn't figure out what it was. It doesn't stick out, but I can feel it when I press my hands to my sides. Yea...it's my pelvis! I can't remember the last time I could feel my pelvic bones.
  • That's awesome! I shop at Catherine's and I generally love their clothes. I'm back and forth about when I will no longer need to shop there. I love the clothes, but not the prices! I've never been a big LB fan, but generally because I find their styles quite boring and incredibly not *me*!!
  • Slow is okay! Don't let yourself get discouraged because of it. Fantastic group of people here to support you through every ounce!
  • I went to the store with my mother this weekend and saw a really cute sweater that I wanted, but couldn't find it in my (supposed) size. She insisted I try on the next size down. It fit! With a little wiggle room! So I'm down another size, even though my scale is currently taunting me with what I assume is this month's…
  • Specifically the pockets, yes!!!
  • I have not, but I will! With the sudden cooling down of the weather (think Fargo, ND area), it makes getting out for my walks harder. I do supplement where I can by going to the store on my lunch breaks, so at least I'm not sitting. Fortunately there is a decent length hallway at work where I can walk back and forth, too.…
  • SW: 347 CW: 278.8 GW: 180 (150 ultimate) Total loss: 68.2 I'm coming up on a year of loss at the end of next month, and I was hoping to be a bit further along before I get there. But, with how slow I've been losing for some months now, I don't think I will hit that one year goal (down 75 lbs). It's a bit discouraging, and…
  • My son. He's 2.5, and the cutest little thing I've ever seen. He loves to rough-house and run and laugh. I want to do those things with him without feeling like I'm going to pass out. I want to stick around to see him graduate highschool, college...or to do whatever he's going to do in his life. He is my motivation, and…
  • Nope. :) I was wondering if anyone had any success with it? If anyone has noticed that it does help them?
  • My most recent NSV: My belly is now below (though barely) the edge of the bathtub when I take a bath! It's been a long time, but it was exciting to notice it last night!
  • A great non-scale victory for me today. I took my first bubble bath in two months (healing tattoo) and discovered that my belly is now below the edge of the tub! I almost started crying as I can’t remember the last time my belly didn’t stick up above the bathtub! :D
  • Thank you for posting that. It almost brought me to tears...and had I not been at work (on break), I'm sure it would have. I've never watched James Corden's show, but that video has piqued my interst on who he is.
  • Wow! You're doing fabulous!
  • Please consider seeing a professional who can help you! I have suffered with depression most of my life, but didn't know it until 4 years ago. Then it was another 3 years before my doctor was able to find the best medication for me. It's a long process, and one that is best to get started right away. Not every medication…
  • It's a frustrating thing, for sure! I gain water weight during that time, as well as during the fertile time, so it's frustrating! Fortunately, though, I am on a medication that helps control the mood swings and the cramps. I still get the bloating and fatigue though. Every woman just needs to find the best things for…
  • Today's goals: 1. Keep below calorie goal! 2. Get that 4K steps in! 3. Take a walk with the little and the SO just for FUN! 4. Ignore that the scale claims I gained 4.5 pounds overnight, and remember it's water weight from being female.
  • Swimming is hard! It's my favorite way to get exercise, and I miss it greatly! I'm looking into ways I can get back in it, but the small town I live in and my work schedule kinda' conflict. ;) I took water aerobics when I was pregnant (on the recommendation of my doctor), and ended up *losing* weight while pregnant.…
  • I started this challenge on August 26th, so anything before that date is not listed. SW: 287 lb GW: 267 lb W4 8/25: 287 W5 9/1: 286 W6 9/8: 281.2 W7 9/15: W8 9/22: W9 9/29: W10 10/6: W11 10/13: W12 10/20: W13 10/27: W14 11/3: W15 11/10: W16 11/17: W17 11/24: Final!!!! 12/1: Total loss: What I've learned about myself:…
  • I can actually attest to this. For some years I have silently examined (from a distance) the seating possibilities whenever I go places, so that I can determine which would be the least embarrassing for me to sit in. I carry a lot of my excess weight in my thighs and butt, so when I sit down it all spreads. Trust me, I do…
  • I've had a great day so far! I did an extra weigh-in for the week, and discovered I had lost a little more weight! I was already thrilled with that. Then I was able to get in a nearly 45 minute walk on my lunch break and was just shy of 2 miles! I'm a bit tired now, and attempting to get motivated to get some work done.…
  • If you have access to a swimming pool, then try out some water aerobics! I did that while I was pregnant, and it was incredible for me. I had no pain in my joints, and enjoyed myself in the process!
