Was keto for 8 months, worked out on regular basis-. Total of 5 pound loss, highest cholesterol I’ve e we had, constant digestive issues, heartburn, fatigue, etc…etc.. I’ll be celebrating my 1 year vegetarian/dairy-free anniversary July 14th, work out on regular basis, but less than I did on keto 19.5 pounds down,…

July 12 will be my 1 year vegetarian anniversary (I gave up cheese about 5 months ago) not completely vegan as I still eat honey, eggs, and occasional yogurt (to keep myself from becoming lactose intolerant) I’m at my all time lowest weight. My diary is open if you’d like to get ideas.

Everyone’s skin elasticity is different- some people get loose skin worse than others (my skin elasticity is absolutely terrible and I had to get tummy tuck to get access skin from pregnancy removed). Losing weight slowly with exercise helps minimize loose skin but, unfortunately, your skin elasticity, which has a lot to…

I took phentermine in my 20’s. It’s very addictive and tolerance builds over time making it lose effectiveness. Also keeps you from sleeping well. It’s a bit like speed- gets your heart rate up and gets you moving. Any time I needed to clean my house, I would take a pill beforehand. I could exercise while on it because…

Oh how I miss Kanafa 🤤

I initially set my goal weight at 115 (I started journey at 140lbs and didbt think I’d ever see 115 on the scale. Once I reached 115 I set my second goal weight to 110 (another weight I never thought I’d see) I’m exactly 1.5 pounds away from second goal weight!! I’m literally losing an average on 1 once per week (I’m only…

You are most likely low on Vitamin D (most of the population is) take 5000 iu daily along with a good multivitamin that has magnesium. Weight loss dramatically improves PCOS symptoms. While it’s much more difficult to lose weight with PCOS, it’s not impossible. While weight loss is all about calories in versus calories…

I’m 5’0”- one “cheat day” can reverse an entire week of progress. Cheat day is no longer in my vocabulary. Instead, I will have one cheat treat- every Saturday after bootcamp, I will have one special treat- a churro or a bubble tea- something I don’t eat all week. I’m literally 1.5 pounds away from my goal weight, a weight…

Giving up meat and cheese to go vegetarian was super easy (will be a year in July). Giving up ketchup, on the other hand, was absolute hell. I went through ketchup withdrawals, tremors, hot flashes, etc.. getting a sponsor really helped. In all seriousness, I was hooked on ketchup. I ate it on EVERYTHING. Quitting taught…

I’m almost 2 months in on lacto-ovo vegetarian lifestyle- gradually working my way toward vegan. I have an open diary and would love to see others, vegetarian or not, with open diaries for meal/fitness inspiration.

Yes! Dry shampoo! I get Keratin treatments to tame my crazy/curly hair and in order to extend the life of the expensive treatments, I only wash every 3-4 days or so. Dry shampoo, just at the top near the roots, keeps oil and sweat at bay and helps keep hair looking washed and clean between hair washes.

Diet doctor- they have a bunch of free low/moderate carb vegetarian recipes on their site or you can pay $9.99 month (with free 1 month trial) for the customizable weekly meal plans. I’m on the free trial right now as I work on lowering the carbs after going vegetarian. As always, pinterest is best source of recipes/ideas…

Exercise, specifically cardio (cardio dance, kickboxing, step classes), is my Prozac. Find something you enjoy, and then do it at the same time that fits your schedule everyday. Be very consistent in the beginning with whatever you choose, meaning be sure to show up (at same time if possible) every day whether you feel…

Yes, I do find them beneficial. Not a cheat day, but a large cheat meal with a large dessert. Saturday is my designated cheat meal. I’ve found that establishing the cheat meal ahead of time gives me motivation to stay on track the rest of the week while also giving me something to look forward to. IIFM just doesn’t work…

I’ve been intermittent fasting for almost 4 years now, mostly 16:8 with a few 18 hour fasts thrown in. My weight is stable (as I hear about everyone else worried about gaining weight) I’m healthy, no blood sugar issues, etc... Not sure where you heard IF causes stress on the body, if anything, it relieves stress on the…

I don’t buy convience foods at all (with the exception of protein bars, store bought rotesseri chicken, sandwich makings for packed lunches, and unsweetened Greek yogurt ) to keep on hand. If I want to mindlessly snack then I have to go through the process of preparing/cooking the item before I eat it. Not having convience…

I’ve been intermittent fasting for almost 4 years, mostly 16:8, sometimes I stretch it to 18 hours, and sometimes after extra heavy morning workout, it’ll only be 14 hours. I haven’t lost a significant amount of weight directly from IF, but it has kept me from gaining weight. IF is a tool to help you stick with your…

I’m not vegan or vegetarian but so glad you asked this question. I’ve been gathering ideas from Pinterest on how to live a more plant based and lifestyle and like you, would love to see some open diaries for inspiration.

I was super active on MFP for a while and then had a million setbacks fly at me all at once. Im super active, just got in a rut with the logging, I’m starting back today as a daily logger, the more friends/motivation the merrier. Please feel free to add. As a side note, also on the lookout fir more Fitbit competitors as my…

My husband and I both went full on keto for a year and a half. I was very strict on it, counting carbs and keeping between 20-30 a day with daily ketone test strips. I worked out 5-6 days a week along with the ketogenic lifestyle, did all the meal planning and cooking. I lost 5 pounds during this time. My husband was not…

Yes, I have been intermittent fasting for a little over 3 years, mostly 16:8, sometime 18:6, and can’t imagine ever going back to wasting all that extra time shopping, planning, preparing, and cooking breakfast/AM snacks. I literally get an extra hour of sleep every morning by not having breakfast ( not to mention $$…

Do you work with a bunch of females? Over time, the monthly cycles of women who spend a lot of time together start to sync up. If that’s the case, it would definitely explain why chocolate was the first to go🤔
-
Yes. People have the tendency to over complicate very simple things. If you don’t consume any calories for a set amount of time ( 14, 16, 18) hours are most popular choices) then you are technically intermittent fasting. Most IF proponents will say that the biggest health benefits come from minimum of 14 hours fasted. Very…

12 pounds until goal weight. As a 5’0” female, those last 12 pounds seem impossible to get rid of. I’ve done intermittent fasting for the past 3 years, keto for a year and a half, always super active as I love boxing and dance fitness, but no matter what I do, nothing seems make those last 12 pounds go away. MFP has worked…

I always found it interesting how majority of the American population think of desserts/cakes (i.e. donuts, pancakes smothered in syrup, sugary cereal) as “normal” breakfast food. No wonder there is an obesity/diabetic epidemic. I think your scallops on pasta with peas sounds much more healthy and filling than the typical…

15 pounds to weight loss goal. I’m only 5’0” so the struggle is real for those last 15!
