you've been given sound advice. to second what others have suggested, start eating early and don't want until you feel hungry, and drink plenty. you can easily dig yourself into a hold that you can't get out of.

Sure you can, but you probably won't look like the guys in the beer commercials. But let's be honest, no one looks like the guys in the beer commercials.

I'll echo the cycling comments. I can ride for hours and burn tons of calories but not have that "beat up" feeling when I'm done. Muscles get sore, but the joints feel fine

I like their Flat White. It's 170 calories which isn't great, but compared to most of their drinks it's low calorie.

Personally I'd rather be outside, but that's likely because I spend my days inside at a desk job. Fresh air and a little sunshine can do wonders for you.

I'll sometimes have a piece of dark chocolate. It's not so sweet and it also has a decent amount of caffeine. It perks me up after lunch.

I've been using road tubeless for nearly a year and I'm sold on it. Roadside repairs are a pain, but they are much more infrequent than with tubes. The ride is more comfortable and I feel more "planted" and stable on 28 tires run about 80psi. The only real problem I've run into is having the sealant dry out quicker than…

You can do it. We're all here to help. Everyone needs some encouragement and accountability sometimes.

Bike ride at 27 degrees. I was slow, but I got bragging rights for being the only one out on the roads.

I don't meticulously log food, but I am active and try to help/support folks when I can. Feel free to add me.

I've had oral and other surgeries that set me back in a similar way and it is infuriating in a way, but your body will appreciate the rest and your mind will adjust in a few days. It's tough, I won't lie, but you'll come back with a vengeance when you are able.

Starbucks Flat White is okay and is one of the few things there not loaded with sugar.

best of luck to you as well.

I admit that when I know I overindulged the day before, I don't weigh the next morning. I don't want to know the damage. I just vow to do better the following day.

This is a totally non food/calorie answer, but I try first and foremost to keep busy. It helps just to get my mind off being hungry if I keep myself occupied and distracted.

Often I'll use a massage rolling stick or a percussion massage tool soon after a work out. It may be in my head but it sure seems to help me to not be so sore the next day.

Bad teeth.

anyone who wants to add me so they can stay on me about doing better, feel free. I'll nag you in return.

You can do it. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts before it just clicks/sticks.
-
it's late in the month, but I've got 30 hours of bike rides in for January.

I second the chocolate hummus idea. I was skeptical as can be, but it's really great. I dip pretzels in it.

A couple of times a week. It fluctuates a good bit so weighing every day is pointless and just makes me obsess about it.

There are worse things to be hooked on. There are few problems that a good sweat session won't put into perspective.

40 something husband and father trying to squeeze in a job around my bike rides...

E bikes are not common enough yet to be included I'd speculate. Depending on the amount of of assistance you use, I'd think 80% might be about right. It's hard to know for sure.

Why did the cucumber blush? Because he saw the salad dressing.

Is that even a thing?
