Thank you! It took about 6-7 months for me to loose that amount. But I had a combination of many factors, weight training, cal deficit about 1,400 cal. I also get a lot of steps in because I coach track and basketball at my school. I’m 5”7 I guess how long it takes you depends on your height, activity level, and most…

Thank you! The biggest fuel was that I hated like HATED feeling tired whenever I tried to do anything. Getting out of bed, going upstairs, be a teacher to my students, I mean anything. And I also had gone through a health scare with my liver and I said, okay this is it, time for change. And here I am

Hello, First congrats on that weight loss !! What I do that has worked for me is stay in a consistent calorie deficit. I do have “treat” meals once a week usually. And I won’t binge the whole day but I will plan it ahead of time. I stay at 1,400 cal every day religiously (usually fill it with protein). I do weight training…

Hi Greg, I definitely feel I have gotten stronger, waaaay stronger than before. I am able to lift things with ease, get up without pain and so much more.

Thank you! I mostly stick to my calorie deficit at 1,400 during the weekdays and about 1,800-1,900 on Sunday which is my cheat day. I strength train 5 days out of the week, and so 30 min cardio 2 days a week, followed by 10 min cardio during all other days.

Thank you !! I set a calorie goal of 1,400 a day. On Sundays i usually will go up to 1,600-1,800 as I leave room for “treat” meal, not a treat day. My routine is 30 min cardio 2 days a week and 10 min the rest of the week days. Strength training 5 days out of the week. I do not drink anything that is not water, unless it…

My aim is simply to use it as a HIIT cardio exercise

Thank you, and great job as well!! I think it’s great to give yourself a goal, however putting a strict timeline and not hitting that mark can sometimes be discouraging, I suggest consistency which you must be nailing to be down from 203, weight loss is kind of all over the place at times, so be patient and forgiving, I’m…

I bet you look wonderful now ! Good luck with your goal, you got this !!! And thank you !

Thank you for all of your insight. My mom and I have constantly been up and down in weight together, we live together and for a long time were very codependent. She always told me to be vigilant and I take that with me. With that said, I do struggle with feelings of guilt at times after a cheat meal but I am certainly…

I have the exact same issue as you. My family goes out to buy fast food, and snacks every single day. This is extremely difficult to me. But it is true that the temptation only comes through our eyes, therefore I suggest out of sight out of mind, so whenever they do this I go to my room or find a place in the house where…

Do you guys suggest that I put lightly active and stick to my 1,600 cal ? To lose one pound a week ? Maybe this could give me more of the calories I need to not be in such a big deficit
-
I actually saw my weight stall when I upped my calories to 1,600. Which is why I’m considering bringing it back down to1,400

I do work out 6 times a week and usually log in the calories and have lately been eating them back but try not to. I have been logging in for about 4 months and I haven’t lost any weight in about a month and a few weeks, not sure if this is a plateau but I’m sure it is. At this point I’m not sure what to do about the…

I want to get to 135-140. I have MFP set to sedentary and 1 lb a week which gives me 1,400 something calories.
-
Thank you! I’m 5”8 and weigh 163 right now, my 1,600 was based on a lightly active 1b a week. Most days however I am sedentary so I try to stay at 1,400 to lose 1lb a week.

Just with things I have at home (barbell and dumbbells weight up to 100lbs plates) and a jump rope.
-
It was 1 pound per week.

Thank you! So I lift weights 6 days out of the week. Arms/shoulders Legs/thighs Abs/waist Calves/butt Back. (I have 2 arm days since that’s where I Carry most of my fat) This took me 3 months, approximately.
-
Thank you! Go for it !

I’m trying to lose my remaining 26 pounds and I have it set on lightly active 1.5 pounds a week.

I just want to clear up a few points. I do not have a binge eating disorder of any kind. This is something I find myself doing out of pure boredom sometimes and days when I feel extra hungry. As it is once a week sometimes 2 weeks it hasn’t really affected my weight loss because one day does not disrupt months of progress.…
