47, 5'6" SW: 322.5 CW: 314.5 I started October at 320.5 and my goal was to lose 5 lbs. I didn't think I'd made it as of Sunday and was discouraged, and then today I weighed in and had dropped to 314.5! I hope it's a legit result. I have been watching sodium and started walking, so hopefully that's part of it. 11/3: 314.5…

I don't have this exact problem—though I do watch my A1C like a hawk—but I'm also terrified of other things, like NAFLD/NASH and heart disease, and simply HAVE to stick to this so I can stop being so paranoid about my health.

Just want to say thanks for existing, group. I've been feeling so unhealthy and anxious about it and coming here reminds me there is something I can do to address it.

I didn't even weigh myself today. I know it's bad. It's been a stressful week leading up to something that I wasn't sure was going to happen correctly today. However, everything went fine (of course) so I hope I can control binge-snacking better in October. I do plan to try again in the October thread, whenever it appears.

Congratulations!

I get that. I also don't want to worry that I have every ailment under the sun. I'm tired of worrying. It's time for doing.

Yes, if I can just get past that urge—distracting myself works best—then I have found it'll pass and I feel triumphant.

Yes, please! Hubby and I actually make cabbage rolls all the time. That's a great idea. I will suggest it to him. :)

Second day of no after-dinner snacking, under sodium goal, and two glasses of water. I'm a bit hungry again but am persevering. Swear I feel a little mentally sharper. Maybe it's the increased protein? I've decided to start making stuff to take to work for lunch instead of relying on frozen entrees or something that might…

Success for 9/15! No snacking after dinner, under sodium limit for the day, and I drank two big glasses of water.

@seltzer_lover I actually do do that with the toothpaste, but it doesn't seem to help me. @sarah12277 I probably have the same thing -- too much sodium, not enough water. I am going to drink two big glasses of water every day this week and see what happens.

Thanks for the advice! I actually do know how to crochet, but it aggravates my carpal tunnel, so I'm afraid that's out. But I'll try a combination of the latter two! Perhaps allowing myself a single 150-calorie ice cream sandwich and then having some water will suffice.

Does anyone have any tips for avoiding evening snacking? I do really well until then, following the prelog, resisting snacks in the afternoon, etc. But there's something about those last two hours where all the daily tasks are done that somehow makes me want to start munching on things. They're not awful things…

I'll be interested to hear how the reduction process goes. I'm 50G at present and really hoping to lose significant cup volume myself.

It occurs to me that I used to have my mom to talk about weight-loss struggles with. She's been gone almost four years. It'd be nice to have a group of surrogate sisters to turn to for support!

I'm 47, but the rest still applies. Could I join, too?
