  • @bmeadows380 Interesting about the salads...I don’t eat out right now because I’m just too fraidy cat of the virus and the reliability of the people prepping the food. That being said, I eat 95% plant based and have noticed that all the produce I get has been rotting really fast-especially the lettuce-it’s getting these…
  • @NovusDies I wanted to revisit this thread to say thank you for all of your insight on the day that I posted. The issue that I posted was something I was not dealing with in the moment, it was something that I can recall back to my 20s and realizing for the first time that I needed to lose weight. At that point I had…
  • @AlexandraFindsHerself1971 We must be twins! I am waiting for the closing on my house-the entire thing needs to be painted...and just broke my foot this week! What terrible timing. Best of luck!!
  • I would love to see what it felt like to not experience the humidity in the heat. Colorado sounds like a dream compared to NY. Where I am, we call it the “tropical rainforest” because the mountains trap all the evaporation of the Hudson River and make it so so humid.
  • No 🤷‍♀️
  • Naught...Nice!!
  • @conniewilkins56 and the doctors always say getting in the pool will redistribute the swelling! I guess not. Sorry you’re suffering with it.
  • I love all of these insightful comments. I would like to add something as well, which might sound controversial, but I just don’t believe there’s any “healthy” overweight situation. As commented before, it is cumulative. I want to add that you don’t actively have to have diabetes, blood pressure issues, high cholesterol,…
  • My whine is always water weight...I have an autoimmune disease that causes me to retain water, especially around my joints. My ankles can go from normal to wear it feels like my skin wants to rip if I bend them in the span of an hour. I truly feel your pain, especially when it comes to the scale! I use happy scale too so…
  • @TheLastMrBig Hi! I just wanted to say that I can’t speak for everyone but I would take a stab at saying most of us are here because we have decisions behind us that didn’t lead us to a good place. I don’t think you have to focus so much on where you’ve been, but where you’re going. There is a success stories group under…
  • Yes! I rescued him in NY, and he had a brother...I wanted to take both but couldn’t. They said he was pit and hound. He’s a big cuddler 💗 I also have another pit and a poodle, all rescues!
  • Sorry, didn’t attach before.
  • Wow @mc62412 you are doing awesome!!!! I also wanted to say how much our dogs look like each other 😍
  • Modifications or not, I’m a firm believer that all movement counts 👍
  • @conniewilkins56 I always eat a banana as soon as I’m done working out, and then my next meal as soon as possible. If my work out is at home, I’ll pop the banana in the blender with rolled oats, soy yogurt, and flax seed.
  • So I have an embarrassing but true NSV...I can’t eat gluten, so I eat tinkyada brown rice pasta. I used to eat 3/4 of a bag a day ☹️Since I started tracking I just finished a bag and went back through my days and realized that I had 8 servings on 8 different days...the number of servings in the bag!
  • That’s great! Best of luck breaking them in. I too repurpose my old shoes to yard work and lawn mowing.
  • Definitely! Four pairs of Walmart shoes is definitely more expensive than one pair of Clarks. It’s hard to get out of that “it’s cheap now” mentality, esp when money is tight. I totally get it. But as I’ve gotten older I definitely find it’s cheaper to invest in quality for the long run!
  • @bmeadows380 when I was younger and worked on my feet all day I had terrible heel spurs and foot pain. At the time all I could afford was cheap shoes from Payless. My boss at the time never had any pain and was much older than me and when I asked her she recommended Clarks shoes. They’re expensive at the start but in all…
  • @papayahed that's so awesome! LB bras bras bras are so expensive that the last few years I have turned to eBay to buy the overstock ones because I can get them for only $30. I realize how huge of a victory this is! 🎉
  • @tempe987 The yoga I mentioned is actually done by example with a woman who is heavier but extremely flexible from years of doing yoga. The woman running the channel will advise you to modify everything according to your level and remind you that the woman has been practicing a long time. Although I can’t often extend as…
  • I love walking by myself on roads that have wooded areas-helps me refocus and feel calm. I also like doing “yoga for bigger bodies” from the yoga room on YouTube. Most are under a half hour and make anything that’s achy feel stretched out and better. When I feel totally too out of shape to do anything I follow any seated…
  • Hi @sageandroses i totally get what you’re saying but the truth might be that even though you felt ok all these years, your body was accumulating negative aspects of carrying extra weight. You are finally now just outwardly seeing the issues. But they all take time to create. Fortunately the body is amazing at realizing…
  • That her name reminds me of Cheetos...without the calories 🙃
  • Congratulations!
  • Also @Ccricfo, the only measurements I would worry about are your ones going forward. You have your own base measurements now-so as long as they go in the direction you’d like from here out, you really can’t compare to a “standard”. Everyone is unique, with their own genetic makeup and shape.
  • Your body shape changes as you age as well...at the weight I am now, in my 20s, I wore a size 28. Now, over a decade later I wear a 24 at that weight.
  • @rockconner Yes, that is a good idea...over the years that kind of planning has helped me with an all or nothing mentality. For example, at one point I felt as if I wanted some chips I was off the boat. But over the years I have learned that some days just have chips, so I log them and move on. If you don’t mind me asking,…
