  • I am going to start this program tomorrow. If I make it the whole 8 weeks I'm going to reward myself. Not sure with what yet but something good. I do have a weekend trip at the end of the month so that week will need to be adjusted. Have any of you tried one of her programs? I think it looks nice and balanced between…
  • I picked up a shift at work today so I will do my workout tomorrow instead. I'm on my feet all day (nurse) so I usually don't workout on my work days and if I do it's usually just a walk, bike ride, it some extended stretching. @SherryRueter I have adjustable dumbbells and lots of bands at home so I can workout there but…
  • @CeeBeeSlim I love pilates class. I've done YouTube pilates at home and it's ok but I much prefer an in person class.
  • @spl8 I hope your knee recoveres quickly!
  • Happy April everyone! I'm starting strong with two days of working out in the bag. I'm going to a pilates class tomorrow and have a hike planned for Wednesday. I'm also going to be getting Invisalign liners and I'm hoping they will help reduce my mindless snacking.
  • I don't like tiny bikinis. So, no.
  • The fitnotes app is very customizable. I've used it for years and makes tracking workouts super easy.
  • Hello, I'm a 39 year old working mom to 3 school aged kids. I'm looking for accountabilty buddies for mutual encouragement to meet our daily goals. Feel free to add me!
  • @SherryRueter your shoulders look awesome in the video. I also really like carbs and totally slacked on my nutrition the last couple of years which is why my definition is gone :( @SparkSpringtime69 my flexibility sucks right now and I really need to put more of an emphasis on it, it just seems to go to the back burner…
  • @zenobia9777 how did your balance routine go? I'll have to add your book to my list. Tonight we're discussing "The Girl in the Mirror" by Rose Carlyle. For our January meeting we are reading "Pachinko" by Min Jin Lee. @SparkSpringtime69 I usually prefer to workout at home but yoga is the one thing I like to do in a class…
  • December goals: SW (September) - 138.8 lbs CW - 133.4 lbs Dec GW - 131 lbs Final GW - 120 lbs For December I want to get in 16 weight training sessions, 15 walks or cardio sessions, and I want to continue logging my daily weight. I already have 4 weight sessions and 4 cardio sessions in the book for the month. If I meet my…
  • @zenobia9777 congrats on that 5K! I don't run at all, I have terrible ankles and running equals sprains.
  • @SherryRueter I work 3 days a week as an RN and my job is pretty physical so I don't generally workout at all on those days, occasionally I may go for a walk when I get home. The other 4 days a week I like to get a lifting session, a walk, and a good stretch in.
  • @k8richly I'm so sorry for your loss. Last day of the month and I'm happy to say I met my goals for the month minus one walk, but I picked up a shift at work that day so it's a wash as I'm on my feet all day at work. I have officially lost 3.5 pounds since the end of September, slow but steady and I'm happy I'm finally not…
  • Hello! It's been a while since I've been on MFP. I've been up and down for the last 2-3 years with staying on track with my workouts and I have gained back all the weight I lost in 2017. I'm bummed but I'm ready to recommit. I set some mini goals and rewards for myself for the remainder of the month. My overall goal is to…
  • I'm still doing this! I've just been busy and not been on social media very much. I'm stuck on the pull up negatives right now.
  • That park sounds great! I think we have one near us too that I might try out. My door frame pull up bar is a bit awkward so I think I need to find something else.
  • That's awesome! It's going well, I started the assisted pull ups today and I'm already at the max level so I'm going to move on to the next level on Thursday. I guess I thought I lost more strength than I did. Thank you for asking!
  • I looked into Noom over the weekend but that app wanted me to lose 10 pounds in 2 months. I think that's completely unrealistic for people that are already a healthy weight but just want to drop a few pounds. I mean it's possible but I don't think it's necessarily healthy nor sustainable. I read another woman comment that…
  • Can we slow progress? But still is progress. I read above that some of you mention weight fluctuations and I have those too. I just started using the Libra app so that I can track the trend. This helped me in the past and I think it's a useful tool. @k8richer I have also been around the 130 mark for about a year and that…
  • 38F 5'2.5" (when short that 1/2 inch counts!) 3/23 weight 131.2 pounds 3/24 weight 132 pounds :/ My weight is consistently staying between 130-132 pounds. I put the Libra app on my phone so I can now track trends. I'm going to try and consistently stick to an average of 1500-1600 cals per day. I was letting the weekends go…
  • Yes, I have extra weight too. I'm sure this is making my progress more difficult. I'm trying to slowly drop a few pounds to help with this. Good luck!!!
  • It's basically working from Level 1 dumbbell row up to 25 pounds for 3 sets of 8 reps Level 2 inverted bodyweight row up to 45 degree angle for 3 sets of 8 reps Level 3 assisted pull ups for 3 sets of 8 reps Level 4 top holds 4 sets of 10 sec and bar hangs 30 sec hold Level 5 negative pull ups 4 sets of 1 rep Level 6 pull…
  • I'm definitely able to move on to level 3, but I think I'll stay on level 2 for this week and then move on next week.
  • I would love to be able to do 6! Thanks for the support!
  • I'm just doing the inverted rows right now. I do have a doorframe pull up bar for even I get to that point. Maybe one if those or use some monkey bars at a local park? I'm looking forward to seeing your progress!
  • Let me know if your decide to go for it!
  • March goals: keep tracking my intake. Get 2-3 resistance sessions in per week. Walk most days of the week. I think ideally I would like to weigh 125lbs, I'm currently at 129.8lbs and was up 132lbs in January. I'm about 5'2.5" and 38 years old.
  • Motivation can be so hard to come by. I haven't felt motivated to workout in over 3 years. Over the last 2ish years I've worked out but it's been sporadic and all over the place, and I've gained some of the weight I lost back. Right now I'm really trying to work on discipline and building healthy habits. I'm logging my…
  • So I successfully tracked my food intake over the last 2 weeks and I have been successful with getting in exercise. I did create a weekly routine for myself to help keep myself accountable. My current weight 130.2 pounds and I'm ok here but by the summer I would like to be down to 125. Also, this is a new mfp account for…
