I think what you're doing is fine. It's only an estimate anyway, unless you're weighing the chicken breast to the gram also. In which case you just have too much time on your hands.

Hi Katy, Had a quick look at your diary and it looks great. Almost all healthy choices. I wouldn't worry about the carbs, just keep an eye on the calories, and you're doing well there. My only suggestion would be to introduce more excercise including some strength/weights training. Good luck Phil

My doctor recommended Fish oil like Cod Liver oil or Krill oil. This was six weeks ago and I've been taking them since. Will give it another month or so and get a re-check.

In order to have gained significant muscle you would need to have been exercising intensely and probably not at a calorie deficit.

If you need to lose 15kg and haven't lost anything in a year, then obviously you need to change something. There is no point in 'sticking with it'. You either need to cut your calories and/or increase exercise.

I'm on series 2, it's good, but not as good as you would expect. Love Steve Buscemi too and he holds it together, it just isn't as gripping as say Sopranos or Madmen. Can't quite put my finger on why. Anyway, it's better than most of the crap on TV so enjoy.

Great, apart from all the booze I drank. Food was pretty good and managed a few long walks. But I'm afraid the amount of alcohol consumed more than wiped out the exercise. Oh well, today is a new day.

I'd include them as potatoes, but also add whatever oil your using to bake them in.

If you need a caloric intake of 1600 for medical reasons, then you should increase your intake by the amount of exercise that you do. If you burn 400 cals you should eat 2,000. The deficit is already built in and you should lose weight. Probably slowly, but that will depend on your weight at the moment. Phil

Who knows. I posted about this too. I was 3/4 weeks without a twitch on the scales. Then this week it dropped a lb, not much but I was dis-proportionately happy about it. The inches have been coming off my waist though. The best advise I got is 'our bodies are just plain weird'. Mix it up a bit but don't give up.…

Interesting. Even the sample of posters here view it very differently. I would think, for a man in particular, it is an insult if anything. Toned or Fit would do me nicely.
