Won't the grain of salt cause you to retain fluid?

Beer.

There are 14 lbs in a stone, do the maths.
-
I agree with all the previous posters. What a wise bunch on MFP.
-
Thanks, I came to similar conclusion. I'll reduce the calorie burn by about 100-150 per hour of exercise and that should be about right. Regards Phil

You people are nuts, Guinness is the reason I'm over weight. Can't get enough of the Black Stuff. When I think of disgusting beers, Miller is No. 1.
-
Not sure what you mean by 'plus everything else'. If 1200 cals is your goal you can consume that plus additional calories earned through excercise. Good luck Phil
-
great work. Well done.

I'm struggling with the fact that you are in your late twenties and have a pet hamster. Sorry, just seems odd to me, but each to his/her own I suppose.

I'm getting married on 5th march and refusing to buy my suit until the day before. I want every possible pound gone, so totally get where you're coming from. I only wish I had until May. Lol.

I'm not sure about 1. Last night while making lunch for today I dropped my slice of ham on the floor, the cat made a dive for it and got a couple of licks in before I hauled him off. I still ate it. No ill affects yet, but I'll keep you posted.

Howard Jones - On my own - because I wanted to. Oh the shame.

If you've been on here since May last year you know what kind of replies you're going to get, don't ya?
-
Had a look at the website. Lots of good info. Thanks for posting. Phil

Me neither, really would like a gun though, damn those beauracrats in City Hall etc....

I love this. Now that's someone genuinely Irish.

Another Paddy here.

I run for beer every Saturday and Sunday, sometimes twice if I fancy some wine too. It's good to be healthy but it's not an endurance test, we all need our vices. :drinker: Phil

Hi Mark , I'm not a fan of Operation Transformation but I am a fan of this website. I've been on here a while, had some success and then fell off the wagon. I'm back on with a vengeance now though. Best of Luck Phil

Zero calorie peanut spread? Presumably contains no peanuts then.

That was my reading too, plus two full time jobs one of which is physically demanding. That's just farking nuts.
-
I wouldn't throw it out unless I saw things crawling around in it, but that's just me. Seems overcautious to me.
-
Thank God, I really wanted to switch back to beer and now I have a reason. Don't want to get a water gut.
-
Trudy, It's not the worst diet in the world, but I wouldn't do it long term. That's a lot of highly refined carbs including a lot of sugar, despite what Kellogs would like you to think. It won't kill you but could do better, a C minus I reckon, Philip

It's a myth, ignore it. Stay within calorie limits and you'll be fine.
-
Carrots can be unpredictable, particularly if they've been drinking. Definitely not safe.

HR was in the 100-110 range, I've never used HRM before so maybe I just set the zones wrong. Thanks for reply.

Was just about to say this, I would be a little less polite about Biggest Loser though as it is nasty exploitative rubbish. Do whatever works for you.
-
Brian, yep, I did wet the contacts and they seemed to be picking up the heart rate fine. I weigh 210, so I would have thought somewhere in the 500-700 cals would be about right. I'll try it out again and change the battery if there's no change. Thanks for response.

Heather is very sensible, much like me.
