I don't think it sounds unreasonable, but how you feel in your clothes and in your own skin is just as important (or more) than simply a number on a scale. Being an active and healthy 119 would be wayyyy better than an unhealthy 110! So while it is an important guide, consider more than just the scale. And good luck!! :)

Set a good example for them! Ask them to join you on walks, and be sure that your grocery contributions are good ones with plenty to share! You could even offer to do the cooking a night (or a few) a week, and share your new healthy approach!!

Interested to hear what people say, I'm looking into a Bodybugg too. A friend has one and an app on her phone, she wears it all day everyday, I'm not 100% ready for that commitment, but would really like one to help me monitor my runs and workouts. Thanks for the post!

Welcome! The idea here is to improve your overall health by tracking calories taken in and calories spent. If you bite it write it is one common saying around here, meaning that you simply log anything you eat! I'm a bit obsessive, and I'm on the scale EVERY day. I don't count a gain or loss until I've been at that same # for 2 consecutive days. That's just what works for me.

Sometimes your own journals can be your best meal plan. Look back through your food diaries to the times when you were losing, and see what you were and were not eating then.
