Thank y'all for the replies. I think one of the main things causing some weight gain is that I am a teacher, so during the summer break, I move up to 80% less that I do while teaching. While teaching, I am constantly walking around the room, more than 10,000 steps per day. I have worked through my frustration, and decided…

I gained it in about a week.

I have drank it for almost 3 years. I enjoy it, although I can see why others don't.

Start by pushing against your counter top or something of the same height. When that gets easy, find something at a lower angle until that becomes easy.

I live in Texas, so I grew up on fried pork chops, chicken, and mashed potatoes. 1. Stew is a great, cheap way to eat a healthy, filling meal. Plus it's only limited by your imagination! 2. Greens. Cheap, healthy, and there are some great recipes out there. I'm sure there are others, try googling, "healthy southern dishes"

Maybe you could try the doctor? Perhaps you need a bit of physical therapy to let it heal properly.
-
You need to differentiate between your muscles being sore, and actual injury pain. Do you feel sharp, biting pain in a certain area? Then be careful. If you are just sore, take some ibuprofen, stretch, and do your workout.

I enjoy jogging for cardio, but for really cold days I have some videos I use for cardio. Run around the house in circles, as long as you get your heart rate up.

My wife and I eat on around $50 a week. When I was single, it was around 35-40$.

I am a teacher, so I can't just leave the room to go to the bathroom. I drink two 8 ounce glasses during the school day, and then drink more towards evening. I probably don't drink 8 a day, but more around 6.

Situation: Low monetary balance Steps: Use body resistance, push ups, pull ups, use your environment. I use my stairs for pushups and tricep dips. You dont NEED a gym to get fit.

Pack them an extra bag of carrots to take to lunch with them. Eat a bigger breakfast? Not sure.

Nice!

Well, if you are getting your heart rate up, then you may be getting some cardio benefit from it. Quantifying the amount of calories you burned is a bit trickier, and may require you to use a heart rate monitor.

I peeked at your diary, and you are eating a low amount of fiber. Fiber keeps you full longer. Add an apple or pear to lunch. Try some whole grain pasta/bread.
-
You must have a low body fat percentage for your abs to show. If that is your goal, work on building muscle along with cardio.
-
Is your diary set for you to lose one pound per week? If so, you are doing good. One pound per week is healthy. Don't give in to the misinformation of trying to lose a lot of weight at once. Keep on truckin'!

*editing for clarity* I should say I mean that you should have cardio days AND weight days, not both on the same day. Do both. I find it beneficial to have equal cardio time to my weight time. Also, give yourself time for a stretch/rest day. This approach will help you retain your lean body mass while losing fat. It will…

http://www.youtube.com/user/BeFitin90 That is a free 90 day fitness program on youtube. It has everything broken down for you. Great way to start off. Once you get more comfortable with fitness, you might look into some more intense routines from Beachbody or Jillian Michaels.

This is just my p[ersonal opinion. I felt the Cardio X and Kenpo routines were a bit mild compared to turbofire or other cardio workouts. I feel that is is up to you, try the routine as is for a few weeks, and if you don't feel you're getting enough burn for your buck, then pop in a more intense cardio or go out running.
-
Usually it is ok to push through the pain if you are not working the same muscle groups you did the day before.
-
You could always log it as slow walking.
-
Thanks for all the tips! I've done Turbofire and a little bit of Insanity, but running has made me more sore than both of them lol
-
Do jumping jacks for 5 minutes.
-
Use it a very general guide. If you notice you're not losing weight eating back all the calories MFP "tells" you you burned, it's probably overestimating.
-
Hmm, I would be interested to see this as well. I can only speculate from my own personal weight loss journey.

You have to be willing to do 2x the work to get the same results as someone without hypothyroidism. If you can get past the "unfairness" of it all and work your butt off, you will succeed.

Taking a daily tablespoon of coconut oil has been known to help those with your condition. Take your meds, get your levels checked regularly, and keep on going with your diet and exercise.
