I do this with corned beef hash. It's awesome.

I agree with you. It's not a matter of attraction, in my opinion. It's a guy dangling a proposal like a carrot in front of someone who loves him that bothers me. If he's not madly, head over heels in love with you *now*, then why on earth would you want to marry him? Marriage takes a joint effort and is the hardest thing…
-
Nope. You don't need to marry this guy anyway.

One of these days they'll figure out how to inject beer with a perfect blend of nutrition and we'll never have to eat healthy things ever again.

I wouldn't eat more than once a day and then I'd order a pizza or something. And eat the whole thing. Didn't cook at home ever, ate either delivery or out at a restaurant every day and almost always cleaned my plate. That's about it really.

This morning I fried up a pound of turkey sausage, scrambled some eggs, heated some black beans (altogether took maybe 15 minutes, reused the same pan for everything so nothing big to clean up) and threw them in some tortillas with a bit of cheese for breakfast tacos. Saved the leftover meat and beans to heat up tomorrow…

I would be SO happy to trade you anytime you like. ;)

There's a place near where I live that makes a BLT pizza. With mayonnaise. I don't even want to find out how many calories that is...... or how bad it is for my heart....

I just bought a Panache underwire sports bra and I think they run into the Hs..... I haven't tested it out yet myself, but it's a very well reviewed bra.

I'll second Leslie. I thought it sounded like the dumbest thing ever to use a walking DVD but it's pretty good at making me sweat without making me feel like dying. As long as it keeps my heart rate up, I don't see the need to punish myself yet. ^_^

I'm down about that much since the 23rd of May. The first four pounds of that was in the first couple days..... it was just a big water weight drop for me. Probably similar for you.

I have a fierce craving right now for the peppermint jojos that Trader Joe's has out during the holidays. They're like Oreos, but the cream has crushed candy canes in it and the whole thing is covered with chocolate. So. Awesome. Hate that they're only available in November/December.

A lack of motivation is not a lack of knowledge. I'll take good knowledge from any source I can find it - even if the person giving it isn't motivated (or able) to follow their own advice. Not to mention, somebody might have already lost my entire body weight and still not look like much. Looks are deceiving.

My mother was right. I suddenly feel an inexplicable desire to jump off the same cliff now.

Filing THAT away for later....!

Mix in some parmesan and parsley. Especially good if you cooked your quinoa in a broth rather than water. :)

Attraction is such an individual thing that I don't think it's fair to come up with some sort of blanket statement about that. I've been attracted to people at a size that would *not* have been attractive to me if it was somebody else. In other words, I have dated people in the past who were quite large and have been…

So the ACSM calculator actually gives me the same number that my HRM did. 30 minutes, 4.0 mph, flat grade, 170 lbs = 190 calories. Do you think that's just a fluke of numbers....? I haven't tried the other methods yet.... I just thought it was interesting that it gave the exact same number there. Wonder if we're quibbling…

This. My question involved NOT starving. Like I wonder if people at very high body fat percentages can sustain their low lean body mass without cannibalizing muscle as long as they're not crossing into actual starvation territory. I have no idea what the science ison that. It's a curiosity thing, not a claim.

Alright, so here's one with walking included. It still shows a pretty linear correlation. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4005766/ The big article in your first linked post also mentions a linear correlation in moderately intense exercise - I agree that it only works for steady-state cardio and not day to day…

I don't work at all at the moment - and I don't chase around kids or spend my days cleaning the house. The activity I mentioned is everything I do, period. I have done even less than that for a fairly lengthy period of time. My TDEE according to most calculators I've played with (and backed up by the fitbit) is in the…

Oh, I like mine too - and when I get the endurance up to start justifying a higher calorie count, you bet I will do it. :-P Just right now, my endurance is nil and I'm just starting to do things like go for a walk every now and then. When my body starts handling regular exercise better, I'll bump everything up. It's not a…
