I soak a tablespoon of them in about 1/2 cup of juice. Soak for 10-15 minutes and then drink. Great way to start your day. They are also used in a lot of "raw" food treats. google chia seed gel or something along those lines, and you'll get some other ideas.

I eat tons of fruit, and do not worry about the going over sugar/carbs when it comes from whole foods such as fruit.

I agree with auticus, sugar is very addictive. I finally realized that it's like alcohol for me: I can't have just a little. I read ingredients and stay away from all types of sugar and artificial sweetners. The cravings really do go away after a couple weeks. The only sugar I have is in my fruit and occasional treat made…
